News Of Guccifer 2.0 Hacks Diverts Attention From Real Issues Of Clinton & Government Corruption

Look, we get it. Russia bad, USA good. But it’s time that the Democratic establishment stopped trying to deflect attention away from its own shady dealings by pointing the finger at Putin for hacks that have revealed a world in which pay-to-play is actually a thing. It’s time to stop blaming others for Clinton’s bad news and for her ineptitude and arrogance by claiming that Russia is behind the Guccifer 2.0 hacks.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter who committed the hacks. Really, it doesn’t, because the Guccifer 2.0 hacks have been tremendously revealing about just who controls our country. News flash; It’s not the American people. It’s political donors connected to multinational corporations. It’s not a surprising revelation, obviously. We, the people, have suspected this all along. But having proof of it, and just how deep the rabbit hole goes, leaves one breathless, not to mention angry.

On Wednesday, news broke that Guccifer 2.0 had allegedly leaked documents revealing the Clinton Foundation’s pay-to-play scheme. Because news came out that Clinton had verbally wished she could “just drone” Assange, the WikiLeaks founder has spent the last several days out of public view, and it is unknown whether he will be releasing more documents. This could have created an unexpected vacuum for Guccifer 2, who may have planned to send the documents over to Assange for verification.

On his website, Guccifer hinted at the situation with Assange in his latest blog post.

“I can’t post all databases here for they’re too large. I’m looking for a better way to release them now.”

He then gave Assange a shout-out, saying he is “reall cool.” The argument over whether Guccifer 2.0 is Romanian or Russian is completely beside the point. It masks the bigger issue, and Clinton is milking this fact for all she can to divert attention away from her own nefarious deeds.

In June, news broke that Guccifer 2.0 had hacked the DNC, revealing collusion between Clinton, the DNC, and the mainstream media to discredit opponents during the presidential race. During that time, I wrote about the news pertaining to Clinton’s plans to “prep with reporters for interview with GOP candidates” and “oppo hits,” a term that alludes to striking or hitting one’s opponents.

In his latest release, Guccifer 2.0 alleges that he breached the Clinton Foundation’s servers, and posted what he claims are screen captures of donor lists and a “pay-to-play” folder. Motherboard’s Lorenzo Franceschi-Bicchierai believes the hacker is not being truthful in his latest claim, and he has poked holes in the hacker’s allegations numerous times since the news originally broke in June.

Ars Technica reports that some of the documents appear to be from an earlier hack of the DNC in July, and not a Clinton Foundation hack, as Guccifer claims.

After downloading one of the spreadsheets and using the inspect tool, a creator name of Kevin C. McKeon popped up. I searched the name, first without the middle initial and my search turned up an actor by the same name, who had played young Pink in Pink Floyd’s 1982 movie, “The Wall.”

According to Bloomberg, the name also belongs to Kevin C. McKeon, the Principal in the Financial Services Practice for CTPartners Executive Search, Inc. since August of 2014. However, the reference to Pink Floyd is much more interesting and more loaded with political symbolism than the latter.

Another document was allegedly created by someone with the name Linda K. Strohl. A Google search reveals there exists a woman by that name currently in Michigan, but who has lived in the Monterey area of California. A LinkedIn account reveals that she works for a Michigan Meals on Wheels non-profit.

What is a non-profit director doing creating documents for the Clinton Foundation? From the looks of it, and of the most recent document dump, it appears that this hack may actually be toothless unless more solid evidence emerges that the Clinton Foundation was actually hacked.

Getting back to the actual contents, the hacker seems to be attempting to create a damning news story against Clinton with his list of foundation donors that allegedly correspond with TARP funds allotted. The WikiLeaks vacuum I mentioned above could be real, or it could be an excuse to release fraudulent documents.

Although several indicators point to a Russian hack, there is still no definitive proof that it was. The evidence is all circumstantial

Here’s an idea, and it is pure speculation: Guccifer 2.0 did not release any documents on Wednesday. What if this release were a false flag operation to discredit everything this hacker has released since June? What if it were just one more excuse to blame the Russian government for interfering in U.S. politics? Could our own government have taken over Guccifer’s site? Because it seems awfully convenient for the hacker to release documents that could be big news that would be damaging to Clinton, only to discover that it’s one big scam. It doesn’t fit with past actions, and the hacker’s message to Assange to “stay safe” in this context makes it all the more chilling.

The bottom line, though, is the fact that the DNC did confirm that its servers were hacked last summer, as the Los Angeles Times reports. The New York Times reports that Hillary Clinton’s private email server was also probably hacked by stealthy attackers due to her poor security measures. This much is true. And this news alone should have been enough to disqualify Clinton from the presidential race. It revealed just how much the mainstream media has collaborated with the DNC and Clinton to smear, mute, and discredit opponents, including Bernie Sanders.

Instead of pointing a finger at Russia and beating the drums of war (using Syria as an excuse), Democrats and the United States government must address the wholesale disenfranchisement of the American people in favor of big business. This will not happen until government divorces itself from the influence of Big Money, and that will not happen unless the American people rise up in unity to demand such changes.

Until then, we are stuck with two of the most hated and reviled presidential candidates in U.S. history. News of a Clinton Foundation hack, whether true or not, should not change who is ultimately responsible for the disintegration of our rights. And that is the U.S. government in partnership with large corporations.
