WWE News: Brie Bella Pregnant, Daniel Bryan Expecting First Child And ‘Total Bellas’ Premiere

In the latest WWE news, former women’s wrestler and current reality television star Brie Bella is pregnant. The wife of current SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan is expecting the couple’s first child. The big news came from WWE just hours ahead of their brand new television show Total Bellas on the E! channel.

The news was reported by multiple wrestling and gossip sites online including E! Online, which shared quotes from the couple about the pregnancy. Bryan and Bella are expecting their first child to arrive in the spring of 2017. Bella gave exclusive comments to E! ahead of her new television show on Wednesday night.

“It has always been a dream of mine to become a mother. Now that it is finally real, it fills me up with so much happiness. I can’t wait to see my husband, Bryan, be a father to our child. I am so excited for this new chapter in our lives.”

Daniel Bryan also appears to be excited by the big news. The former WWE champion gave his comments to E! News as well talking about his joy and amazement.

“The day we found out, I just couldn’t stop smiling. We are so excited to be parents. Every time I look at Brie’s stomach, I’m amazed that there is a little life in there.”

The couple has been married since April of 2014. Bryan’s father had also passed away that same month, making for a roller coaster ride for the former superstar. He was eventually forced to retire from the wrestling ring due to medical issues including post-concussion seizures he suffered as a result of his various wrestling work.

However, Bryan made a triumphant return to WWE as he was enlisted by Shane McMahon to serve as SmackDown Live‘s general manager. So far, WWE’s SmackDown brand and its roster have been praised by many WWE fans in comparison to the product that is being put out by the Raw brand. Bryan has been an instrumental part of that, as he has done match booking on television and delivered interesting segments on WWE Network’s Talking Smack show with Renee Young.

As for Brie Bella, she also retired from the wrestling ring, but it was due to her desire to start a family. She and Bryan are now embarking on that journey together. It should be interesting to see how this all will be documented by WWE and the E! television network. Both Brie and Bryan will appear on Total Bellas, a brand new reality show debuting Wednesday night on E! channel.

The show will chronicle all of the Bella family. That will include two current stars of the ring, Brie’s sister Nikki Bella, and her boyfriend John Cena. In addition, a former on-air talent from WWE, John Laurinaitis, is Brie’s stepfather. So now, Nikki is an aunt and Laurinaitis is a grandfather. John Cena has yet to tie the knot with Nikki, so he’s yet to become an uncle, just yet.

WWE stars Bryan, Cena, Nikki, and Brie have all been featured prominently on episodes of another E! show called Total Divas which Total Bellas is a spin-off from. In a recent article from Fox Sports, Bryan admits that he had a “mental breakdown” while filming the newest series. Basically, the timing of the new show took place during some rough spots for the various WWE stars including Nikki requiring neck surgery, Bryan being forced to announce his early retirement, and Brie also retiring from the ring. However, some might argue that makes for the most “real” reality television.

All of that said, it has certainly been a rollercoaster ride for Daniel Bryan, but now with his wife Brie Bella pregnant, it appears that goal of focusing on their family can finally take shape. One has to wonder if Brie will be giving birth to the next great WWE superstar of a future generation.
