Rihanna And Drake Split? Did He Cheat On Her With Instagram Model Dakota Gonzalez?
Rihanna and Drake seemed to be diving head-first into a serious romance just weeks ago, but lately, their outings have been far less frequent and news of a possible split has hit the web.
According to a report by Life & Style magazine, Rihanna and Drake recently broke up after the “Work” singer discovered the rapper had been getting close to 21-year-old Instagram model, Dakota Gonzalez.
“When Rihanna found out about Dakota, they had a blowout fight,” a source told the magazine, according to a report by Hollywood Life on October 5. “She immediately told Drake that it’s over. When Rihanna isn’t at Drake’s concerts, Dakota is often there by his side. It makes Rihanna furious. Rihanna was getting used to being Drake’s one and only.”

Rihanna and Drake were going strong for weeks but after she allegedly found out that Drake had been parading the model around during an after party for his September 11 show in Las Vegas, Nevada, “she had an absolute breakdown.”
Just one day prior, Rihanna and Drake were on stage together in Los Angeles and during the show, Drake gushed about how wonderful his girlfriend was to his audience members. He even told the crowd that he hoped they would also find someone as “lovely” as Rihanna to “hold them down.”
Rihanna and Drake first went public with their romance during the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, where Drake professed his affection for Rihanna and told fans he had been in love with her since he was 22-years-old. From there, the couple enjoyed a night out in the Big Apple and shared a photo of the two of them together with fans on Instagram.
Rihanna and Drake then traveled to Miami where they joined one another on stage yet again and during their time off, they surprised fans by revealing matching tattoos.

According to a second report, via Hollywood Life, Drake appears to have set his sights on Gonzalez, who boasts nearly 1 million Instagram followers, and the two have reportedly been spending “plenty of time together” in recent weeks. They also have a bit of a history as they were seen together in November 2015, when they attended a Lady Rebels’ game.
As for what is going on with Rihanna and Drake currently, a third report suggested that both parties were having a hard time staying faithful.
“Rihanna and Drake have an unbreakable bond but they also have wandering eyes,” a source explained to Hollywood Life on October 5. “They are trying to figure out each other in a relationship form because they are so familiar with being great friends, hooking up and then coming back to each other when it is convenient.”
Rihanna and Drake have been on and off for years so it is hard to consider the possibility of them ending their relationship for good, but according to the source, the couple has decided to pump the breaks on their romance for now.
“Drake has always been a playboy and Rihanna usually picks the wrong guy and now that they seemingly have found the right person for each other they can’t really wrap their head around it,” the insider added. “[Rihanna and Drake] are slowing things down to make it work, but they are in no way ending things. They realize what they have is special and want to make sure they do the right things to make it flourish.”
