Did Kim Kardashian and Kanye West stage a robbery to protect her net worth?
As rumors claiming the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star may have been in on a Monday morning robbery in her Paris apartment, news of her net worth and her husband’s possible debt have been revealed.
“Spectators have accused [Kanye West] of setting-up the heist to claim money on his insurance or boost ratings for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality show,” the Sun revealed to readers on October 3.
Although Celebrity Net Worth claims Kim Kardashian is worth an estimated $150 million and generates $50 million annually, many believe that she and West were involved in the robbery that took place days ago — especially considering West claimed to be $53 million in debt just months ago.

“I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt… Please pray we overcome… This is my true heart,” West told fans on Twitter in February, adding that it was his dreams that led to the massive debt.
Oddly, however, Celebrity Net Worth claims West is worth $145 million, which means that together, the couple has a net worth of nearly $200 million. West also landed at No. 20 on Forbes’ list of the wealthiest celebrities in 2014. Could he have lied about his debt? Although the exact state of his finances is unclear, the Sun pointed out that while West may be lacking in cash, he certainly makes up for it in real estate.
Not only do Kim Kardashian and Kanye West own homes in Los Angeles in New York City, they also reportedly have pricey houses in Paris, France, and Hidden Hills, California.
Following the robbery, during which Kim Kardashian’s $4 million ring from West was stolen, a number of users on Twitter flooded the social media platform with speculation into a possible set-up. Below are a few of their comments.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have both remained silent since the robbery occurred and have been staying in New York City at their apartment surrounded by friends and family, including Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, and her best friend, Jonathan Cheban. Kim Kardashian has also refrained from using her social media pages to share photos or information on her location, which many have criticized her for in the past.

Adding to the buzz regarding a possibly fake robbery is the fact that Kim Kardashian’s neighbors in Paris heard absolutely nothing during the incident.
“[They] did not hear a thing when she was screaming for help,” an insider close to the investigation told Us Weekly magazine, adding that there was also no trace of DNA at the apartment.
According to police officials, there were several people staying in the apartment complex at the time of the robbery, but everyone inside of the Hotel Pourtales “has now been spoken to, and the neighbors heard nothing at all,” the magazine confirmed.
There has also been no video footage or other evidence of who the assailants may be.
