Indianapolis Colts Vs. Chicago Bears: Bold Predictions For NFL Week 5
The Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears are both entering Week 5 of the 2016 NFL season with a 1-3 record, and both are desperate for a win. It has been a disappointing start to the season, to say the least for the two teams, but one of them will come away with their second win of the season on Sunday afternoon.
Andrew Luck and the Colts have struggled with injuries all season long, but their defense and offensive line haven’t improved either. Ryan Grigson has to be on the hot seat in Indianapolis with the struggles at multiple positions that the Colts are dealing with. Jim Irsay cannot be happy with his general manager after the start that his team has had to the season.

Chicago, on the other hand, knew that the 2016 season would be a bit of a difficult season. Jay Cutler went down with an injury, but Brian Hoyer has stepped in and performed very well in his absence. While the Bears may not be a serious contender in the NFC playoff picture, they are headed in the right direction.
It will certainly be interesting to see which team exits Week 5 with a 2-3 record and gets their season back on track a bit.
All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for the Colts vs. Bears game in Week 5 NFL action?

Andrew Luck Will Torch the Bears’ Secondary for 325 Yards, Four Touchdowns
If the Colts want to get back on track this season, they will need their franchise quarterback to dominate the Bears’ defense. He will do just that, throwing for at least 325 yards and four touchdowns in the game. Chicago’s defense is porous, to say the least, and the Colts’ coaching staff will be more than happy to put the football in his hands.
Jordan Howard Will Break Out for 120 Yards and a Touchdown
Chicago was happy to draft Indiana Hoosiers running back Jordan Howard in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has taken over as the starting running back for the Bears due to the injury that Jeremy Langford suffered. There is a good chance Howard will remain the starter moving forward and will rush for 120 yards and a touchdown this week against a weak Colts’ run defense.

Frank Gore Will Continue His Impressive Play
Indianapolis has to be happy with the production that they have been receiving from Frank Gore. He has had a big season so far and will continue his impressive play this week against the Bears. Gore will rush for at least 70 yards and a touchdown while racking up 20 yards and having a shot at another touchdown as a receiver.
Chicago Will Turn the Football Over at Least Three Times
Even though the Colts have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Bears are not going to be able to put up big numbers. Brian Hoyer will throw an interception or two, and a fumble can be expected. Chicago simply doesn’t have a great offense, and that will show this week against Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts Will Move to 2-3 on the Season
It may not be a terribly entertaining game, but the Colts will get the job done and improve to 2-3. Chuck Pagano has to have his team ready for this game, even though the Bears are struggling in a big way. Indianapolis doesn’t look like a serious playoff contender, but there is still time for them to turn that around.
Expect to see these two teams give everything they have on Sunday, although that might not be too terribly much. Indianapolis should come out on top when everything is said and done, but don’t count the Bears completely out.
