Server troubles got you down? You can watch Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart’s Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium here in case you missed the chance Saturday due to internet troubles when it was streamed live online.
The much-hyped political debate between Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart was a spirited and popular affair, and while many of us didn’t exactly know what to expect out of the showdown between the Fox News pundit and the Daily Show host, we’re happy to announce that you won’t be disappointed.
Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart have faced off numerous times over the past decade on their respective shows, but public anticipation reached its peak when the two announced that they’d be going head-to-head for the first time in a presidential-style 90-minute debate. The price for admission was a mere $4.95, but many found that they were unable to see the show when the server experienced technical difficulties and crashed.
We covered the debate to some extent here, which included discussions on topics such as the economy, the role of government, entitlement programs, foreign policy and the current state of political discourse.
The most entertaining thing about the debate was that Bill O’Reilly actually met Jon Stewart at his level, showing a lighter and more humorous side of himself as the two hashed out the issues in a very rich and informative way. This was entertainment meets politics in the most satisfying way, offering a valuable discussion between two politically-opposed media personalities that touched on important issues facing America today while allowing us to laugh along the way.
Rolling Stone reviewed the debate, which you can read here, but we won’t take up any more page-space with our reflection on Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart’s 2012 Rumble. You can watch it in its entirety here:
