Taylor Swift Album On The Way? Singer To Perform Pre-Super Bowl In Houston

Is a new Taylor Swift album on the way? It’s very likely that the singer-songwriter is gearing up for 2017 to be her year now that she scored a massive advertising deal with AT&T.

Taylor Swift’s fans usually get a new album every two years since her eponymous album, which was released in October 2006. However, Swift has been on her hiatus from making new music. It’s October, 2016, now, which means it’s two years later from October, 2014, when she released her last album, 1989, reports the Washington Post. So, when will Swift will drop her new album since she’s on an extended break? That break seems over now that she’s working on new music.

The “Shake It Off” singer usually drops a new single by the summer, leading up to her fall album release date. Other than Adele, Swift is the only artist who has the ability to sell a million albums in a week. Swift’s fans are so eager for a new album that they assumed Kelsea Ballerini’s new song, called “Roses,” sounded like Swift’s vocals. Ballerini took to Twitter to clear up any confusion and to quash the rumors that she’s not working with her friend and fellow country artist.

Swift’s friends, Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt, have hinted that she’s back in the studio working on new music. According to the Washington Post’s thorough report, Swift could release a new album by Oct. 23, 2016, if she’s done with it. Swift has a lot of material to write about, from her relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston, along with her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Could Swift pull a Beyoncé and drop a surprise album on her fans? Instead of releasing it on Tidal, she may make it an Apple Music exclusive. Swift may want to bypass the traditional press cycle of magazine interviews and talk shows leading up to a big album release, especially when she’ll be asked about her high-profiled relationships and celebrity feuds along with the criticism she’s received for it. Swift may just surprise everyone and let her music speak for itself, much like Beyoncé does.

Swift’s label president Scott Borchetta denied on Twitter that she’s not dropping new music anytime soon. Then he deleted his tweet, which means she could still have to plans to drop some new music soon. Other possible release dates include Oct. 24, 2016, to commemorate ten years of her music career, or on Nov. 13, 2016, since her favorite number is 13. Swift’s only concert date in 2016 is at the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix in Texas on Saturday, Oct. 22. So, does that mean she will perform a medley of her hits or some new music?
