Arnold Schwarzenegger, Son Joseph Baena Celebrate Birthday In Munich [Photo]

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son Joseph Baena were recently together in Munich, Germany, enjoying Oktoberfest together and celebrating Joseph’s birthday.

According to Hello Magazine, Arnold shared a photo with Joseph on his Instagram account. It’s a rare shot of the father-son duo, who have rarely been spotted in public together.

As you might remember, Arnold Schwarzenegger was downright humiliated when the press came out with a story that he had previously an affair with his housekeeper, Mildred Baena, and that she became pregnant with his child. Baena worked for the Schwarzenegger-Shrivers for 20 years but ended up leaving the position when she got pregnant with Arnold’s child. She welcomed her baby boy, Joseph, in October of 1997, just one month before Maria Shriver gave birth to her and Arnold’s fourth child, Christopher.

At the time, there was no way that Arnold could come clean about having an affair — and getting another woman pregnant.

However, Arnold Schwarzenegger denied knowing he had a son with Mildred Baena and says that she told him about Joseph seven or eight years later. From that point on, Arnold Schwarzenegger says that he supported his son the best he could, and he would give Mildred Baena money to care for him — and for herself.

It wasn’t until 2011 that the world found out about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s affair — and his love child. That was also the year that his wife, Maria Shriver, filed for divorce. Arnold came clean about everything and began developing a relationship with his son, Joseph, who is now 19-years-old. Although the two see each other on a fairly regular basis, it’s not often that Arnold posts photos with Joseph, which is why this is making news today.

You can’t deny for one second that Joseph isn’t Arnold Schwarzenegger’s kid!

The message that Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote to his son Joseph is also quite sweet. Back in 2015, Arnold opened up about his children and included Joseph in the warm statements he made while chatting with Howard Stern (via Us Weekly).

“My kids are a straight 10. I am so proud of them. I’m so in love with them.I walk into the room and I see the room full of balloons… It was from all four kids and from my wife. There was a note — ‘You’re the greatest dad, the greatest man, we love you dad’ — Each one sent a card. Each one sent a gift. That’s the relationship we have,” Arnold said.

He then added that he was also proud of Joseph and that he loved him too.

“It is fantastic, including my fifth child with Mildred. He’s terrific and he totally understands the situation. So, it all has worked out… It’s a very tough situation for him. It’s a very tough situation for my kids. Very tough situation for my family. It was tough for everybody. But it has happened and now we have to figure it out, right?” Schwarzenegger said at the time.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son seem to have a strong bond despite having a fairly screwed up start to their relationship. The two look very happy together, and it seems like they have a good father-son relationship (and they like to bond over a nice cold brew).

Meanwhile, Arnold has a lot of other stuff going on in his life right now. He will soon be heading up The Celebrity Apprentice, taking the helm from Donald Trump. Arnold and Maria Shriver are still very close friends, which has been great for their children. It looks like things really worked out for Arnold after all.
