‘RHONY’ Star Bethenny Frankel Fired After Having A Meltdown That Included Throwing A Drink On A Fan

Bethenny Frankel’s time on the radio might be at an end.

The Real Housewives of New York star was reportedly fired after an altercation with a fan at a recent Coldplay concert. Is Frankel’s SiriusXM show, B Real with Bethenny, officially over?

Entertainment Daily reports that Frankel threw a cocktail at a group of women during the concert in the Hamptons.

Frankel’s actions angered many SiriusXM executives, who were on the verge of offering Frankel her own radio spot.

Apparently, the altercation embarrassed the radio bosses so much that they are no longer offering Frankel her own show.

“They were prepared to give Bethenny her own show but they ripped up the contract after that night,” an inside source close to the situation revealed.

The cocktail throwing incident went down on August 7.

The British band was playing at a small venue, Stephen Talkhouse. Some of Hollywood’s brightest stars were in attendance, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

Everything was going smoothly when Frankel’s view of the stage was blocked by three unidentified women.

“Bethenny started poking and pushing them,” a source at the event claims. “Then, when they didn’t move, she went to the bar and got a mixed drink and threw it over them.”

Of course, reports of that night conflict and other eye witnesses say that Frankel threw water on the women instead of alcohol.

“It was a crush … and very hot,” another source shared. “People were jockeying for a view. It looked like this woman, who vehemently refused to move, needed some cooling off … so Bethenny tossed some water on her.”

Water or not, Frankel’s actions did not go over well with the women.

In fact, Wonderwall is reporting that one of the ladies, whose clothing was soaked, left the concert and immediately complained to the SiriusXM executives.

A few days later, Bethenny Frankel told fans that her radio show was going on a short hiatus but would return soon.

Two months later and Frankel’s radio program has not returned to SiriusXM.

“Can’t wait to get back at it on #BReal with Bethenny,” Frankel wrote on Twitter six weeks ago. “Happy #NationalRadioDay!”

In contrast to Frankel’s optimism, a spokesperson for SiriusXM told a different story.

“When we announced B Real with Bethenny … back in April, it was a limited-run weekly series,” the spokesperson explained. “We often work with hosts [on] limited-run series to develop … with the hope they can lead a daily show.”

According to In Touch Weekly, Frankel’s busy schedule with the Real Housewives of New York is one reason why she hasn’t been on the radio.

“Bethenny is busy with Bravo [which airs RHONY] and other projects,” the spokesperson continued. “[We] were unsure whether, in the long run, we could get enough of her time for a five-day-a-week show.”

Based on the spokesperson’s comments, it doesn’t sound like Frankel’s radio show is going to return anytime soon.

Whether or not the end of the show had anything to do with Frankel’s concert mishap is yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time one of Frankel’s personal projects has failed.

As fans will recall, Frankel launched a show of her own, titled Bethenny, which she ended after one season on the air.

Following the cancellation of the show, Frankel admitted that she was “relieved” it was over.

“Unlike my time on Bravo, I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted. I am a free spirit,” she told fans.

After her self-titled show went off the air, Frankel rejoined the Real Housewives of New York as a full-time cast member.

The reality star has not commented on the events at the concert or on the fate of her radio show.
