Jennifer Aniston’s Husband Justin Theroux Addresses Media Attention After She’s Accused Of Secretly Seeing Brad Pitt

Jennifer Aniston has stayed silent throughout the media storm of her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s divorce from his wife Angelina Jolie. However, due to the ongoing promotion of his new movie, The Girl on the Train, Justin Theroux has been faced with questions about their split and about his marriage to Aniston.

During a recent interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, Theroux addressed the attention his wife has gotten since Jolie filed for divorce and referred to her as a “proper bada**.”

“[Jennifer Aniston] has lived through a lot of b******t,” he said, via a report by Glamour Magazine UK.

“Many people would have crumbled under some of the stresses that have been put on her. I’m very proud of her for that, for the way she handles herself.”

Since marrying Jennifer Aniston in 2015, Theroux has become known by some as “Mr. Jennifer Aniston.” Luckily, the title doesn’t bother him. That said, the constant media attention he and his wife have gotten in recent years makes him feel protective of the actress.

“Well, you feel protective, of course,” he explained. “She’s similar to me — she doesn’t pay attention to it unless she has to.”

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux tied the knot last August at their home in Bel Air, California after dating for about four years. According to Glamour Magazine UK, the couple had been friends for years but officially began dating after filming their hit comedy Wanderlust in 2011.

Regarding the possibility of reuniting on screen again, Theroux admitted:

“It’d be more convenient … We could see each other more. Would it be weird? I don’t know. If it was the right thing. Or something I wrote that she would act in. We’re not competitive.”

Because of their equally busy careers, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux spend a lot of time apart. Recently, Theroux has been in Australia for filming on the third and final season of HBO’s The Leftovers as he promotes The Girl on the Train, and Aniston has been in Atlanta to film Office Christmas Party.

Following news of Pitt and Jolie’s split, Jennifer Aniston was said to have engaged in a secret meeting with her ex-husband at New York City’s Gansevoort Hotel in July.

“[Jennifer Aniston] has been talking to Brad,” an insider told Radar Online at the end of last month. “She’s told friends it would be a dream to get back together with him. The truth is, she’s been secretly waiting for him to leave Angelina.”

According to the report, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were caught sneaking into the hotel on a security video. However, the outlet didn’t share any photo or video evidence of the alleged meeting.

During the tryst, the source said, Pitt spoke to Jennifer Aniston about his marital troubles with his wife and attempted to make amends with Aniston, who filed for divorce in 2005 after rumors suggested he had cheated on her with Jolie as they filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

“[Jennifer Aniston’s] just happy to hear he’s divorcing because she always held on to a little hope,” a friend of the actress reportedly told Radar Online. “He’s the love of her life, and she’s never really gotten over him.”

Jennifer Aniston is “now trapped between a rock and a hard place, because she does love Justin — but not as much as Brad!” the source added.
