‘The Walking Dead’ Sweepstakes: Win Tickets To Season 7 Premiere – 12 Cast Members, Creator, And EP On 90-Minute ‘Talking Dead’ Special

The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere will air in a few weeks. As usual, following that episode, fans can watch Talking Dead. Yesterday afternoon, AMC announced that the special will run 90 minutes instead of the usual hour. What is even more exciting is that there will be a lot more guests. Instead of two or three, viewers will get to see twelve cast members as well as creator Robert Kirkman and executive producer Scott Gimple. A press release also revealed that there is a chance for 2,000 lucky people to attend the premiere screening.

Even though some fans were disappointed and angry that Season 6 ended without revealing the identity of Negan’s victim, there is still huge anticipation for the Season 7 premiere. Not only will everyone finally find out who Negan killed on The Walking Dead, but viewers will also see what kind of character he will be on the show. Will Negan be just like Robert Kirkman’s comic books? Will there be changes made?

It is being teased that the Season 7 premiere of TWD will be emotional. Words used to describe it include heartbreaking, graphic, brutal, and everything in between. If those are accurate, then viewers will definitely want to hear what the cast and crew have to say on Talking Dead. According to the press release, it will be hosted by Chris Hardwick, as usual. The location will be at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

In addition, it was announced that 2,000 fans have a chance to win tickets to watch a screening of The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere.

“Over 2,000 ‘Dead’ fans will have the opportunity to win free tickets to a screening of The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere episode at 6:00 p.m. PT (live with the East Coast airing) and Talking Dead taping, hosted by Chris Hardwick, at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The Talking Dead at Hollywood Forever ticket sweepstakes opens on Tuesday, October 4 at 7:00 a.m. ET.”

Besides Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple, who else can fans expect on the Talking Dead special? Look forward to seeing Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Michael Cudlitz (Sgt. Abraham Ford), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes), and of course, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

As fans may have noticed, the guest appearances on Talking Dead are the same characters that Negan lined up in the Season 6 finale. At least one of them was killed by the Saviors’ leader. In the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, the death scene is supposed to be horrifying and gut-wrenching. Fans will have their hearts torn out by a fan favorite character dying. It was also stated that the cast and crew had a hard time with it, too.

Charlie Collier, president of AMC, issued a statement about the sweepstakes and the “supersized” Talking Dead special.

“As The Walking Dead returns with one of the most powerful and highly anticipated episodes in series history, it feels fitting to literally share this night with the fans whose support have made this show what it is today. As a fan myself, even I crave a supersized Talking Dead to do what it does best – serve as a focal point for fans – along with Chris, the producers and the largest cast the show has ever assembled – to experience, discuss, and process together this emotional episode.”

What do you think of twelve major cast members of The Walking Dead appearing on the 90-minute special? Will you be entering the sweepstakes to get a chance to win tickets to the screening of the Season 7 premiere?
