Kanye West Tour Dates Canceled After Paris Robbery? Kim Kardashian ‘Tied Up With Packing Tape,’ Engagement Ring Stolen During Jewelry Heist [Report]

Rapper Kanye West learned that his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris while he was on stage performing “Heartless” at the Meadows Festival in Queens, New York, on Sunday night. Now, fans are wondering if he will cancel upcoming dates for his “Saint Pablo Tour,” including his next show scheduled to take place in Philadelphia on Tuesday, October 4.

Kanye was performing in front of a sold-out crowd on Sunday. The Daily Mail reports that 20 minutes before the show was scheduled to end, West told concert-goers, “I’m sorry, family emergency, I have to stop the show,” dropped his microphone, and ran off stage.

According to Reuters, Kim’s publicist has confirmed that she was at 7 rue Tronchet, a private residence in Paris, when “attackers, wearing ski masks” entered her room, “tied her up with packing tape,” and left her in the bathroom while they stole “millions of dollars worth of jewelry” at approximately 3 a.m. local time (9 p.m. New York time).

Since the early morning hours when the heist first made headlines, Kim and Kanye’s fans have been buzzing about the 15-carat diamond engagement ring that West gave her when he proposed to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star at San Francisco’s AT&T Park back in 2013. Was it stolen in the heist, or was the even pricier ring she received from her husband last month taken from her apartment?

Shortly before she was robbed at gunpoint, the reality TV star was spotted on Snapchat wearing a second engagement ring that Kanye gave her last month that features a 20-carat emerald cut stone rumored to be worth in the $4 million to $5 million range.

Although a full list of what was stolen in the Paris robbery has yet to be released, the Daily Mail reports that a ring worth $5 million dollars and upwards of $6.7 million in other jewelry were stolen from Kim’s room.

Where is Kim Kardashian now, were the couple’s children with her in the Paris apartment, and will Kanye West cancel tour dates scheduled for this week?

iTELE Paris reports that Kim was not injured during the robbery, but she was tied up after one of the thieves “put a handgun against her temple.” Fortunately, her two children — North and Saint — were not in the apartment.

Kim has reportedly left Paris on a private flight, and Kanye has yet to release any comments about the robbery on social media or via his publicist. Although West has not formally canceled any of his upcoming shows on the “Saint Pablo Tour,” fans who have tickets for performances scheduled for this week should check for updates from their ticket vendor.

Kanye is scheduled to perform in Philadelphia on October 4, Auburn, Michigan, on October 6, Chicago on October 7, and Rosemont, Illinois, on Saturday, October 8. In addition to the four shows slated for this week, Kanye West’s website lists a dozen other performances scheduled in the U.S. and Canada before the “Saint Pablo Tour” wraps up in California on November 1.

New York fans who missed out on a full show when Kanye cut his performance short on Sunday night have been sympathetic about the rapper leaving the Meadows Festival after learning about the robbery. The Bustle reports that there was some disappointment due to the fact that some New Yorkers have missed out on Kanye’s recent shows due to cancellations.

Kanye was a headliner for the last day of New York’s Governors Ball in June, but the event was canceled due to impending bad weather. West reportedly tried to make up for the cancellation that night, but the crowd was beyond the capacity at the venue (Webster Hall) where he attempted to perform.
