Kim Kardashian Robbed At Gunpoint In Paris Hotel, Calls It The Worst Moment Of Her Life

Kim Kardashian West has been robbed in her Paris hotel. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was held at gunpoint by robbers disguised as police officers and robbed of jewelry worth millions, The Guardian reports. According to TMZ, a source close to the reality TV star has revealed that Kim has called the incident “the worst moment of her life.” Kim was spotted leaving in a private jet a few hours after the incident, possibly to reunite with her husband, Kanye West, in the U.S.

The attack had prompted Kanye to leave a concert mid-performance. Kanye, who was performing at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival at Citi Field in New York, had stopped the show in the middle of a song calling it a “family emergency”, as can be confirmed by the tweet and the video below.

Kim has been in Paris since last week for its fashion week. The reality TV star had attended the Balenciaga show on Sunday. Investigating sources have reported that the attack took place on Monday morning (local time) and the concierge, the building’s care-taker, had been attacked, tied up, gagged and then hidden in one of the building’s stairwell cupboards.

A spokeswoman for Kardashian West reported that the 35-year-old was “badly shaken but physically unharmed.” The assailants had reportedly tied her up and left her at the flat’s bathroom before fleeing the scene. Once the robbers left, Kim was reportedly able to free herself from her restraints and call for help. Police officials have reported that there were five robbers involved and that they stole a jewelry box with valuables worth almost $7 million and a ring, believed to be Kim’s engagement ring, worth $3.5 million. The robbers are still at large, but the police hope to catch them soon.

Kim had made headlines earlier in the weekend for a whole other reason. The reality TV star was rushed by the same man who had attempted to grab model Gigi Hadid in Milan only days earlier. Kim’s body guard, Pascal Duvier, had to step in and bring the man down. Kim who had tweeted “My security is a G” following the incident had jokingly tweeted this on Sunday in response to Pascal saving her from paparazzi shots. According to a local paper, Kim’s body guard was reportedly left handcuffed during the robbery.

The rest of the Kim’s family have reportedly been put under police protection following the robbery out of fear that they could be targeted next. Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kris Jenner, were also attending the Paris Fashion week with their sister.

Kim, who is undoubtedly one of social media’s most active stars, hasn’t posted anything since the robbery, leading many people to believe that the robbery must have really shook the reality TV star. Kim was spotted boarding a private jet earlier this morning along with her personal assistant and bodyguard. She had kept her face hidden under a long, black scarf, Mirror reports.

Kim’s robbery has attracted a lot of negative memes and posts targeting the Kardashians, but a lot of celebrities have stepped up in defense of the victims. Christine Teigen, who is good friends with Kim, tweeted, “Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets,” in response to all the negative posts.

“Please do not think that I think celebrities are special snowflakes. I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone,” the model wrote in a separate tweet.

James Corden and Piers Morgan also stepped up in defense of Kim.

Kim had been staying at the Kardashian’s Paris home, a luxury apartment block called the Hotel Pourtalès. Built in 1839, the Hotel Pourtalès consists of nine luxury flats specifically designed for multi-millionaires. Previous tenants have included the likes of Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The building was classified as a historical monument in 2002.
