Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently promoting his tell-all book Total Recall, and the Terminator star and former California governor told Meet The Press on Sunday that he deserves the anger directed at him by fans and non-fans alike.

According to the Governator, he’s not looking for forgiveness, while he adds:

“But let me tell you, if the people are angry with me, I deserve that … I know there was a major screw up. I’ve hurt my wife, I’ve hurt the kids. I take the responsibility and I will do everything that I can.”

When asked if he would consider a return to politics in the future, Arnold said:

“I don’t see that in front of me.”

The former governor did take a moment to back away from his baby mama controversy to talk about bipartisanship in California and politics in general. According to Schwarzenegger:

“I learned first hand that the only action is when both parties come together” while noting that politicians need to be a ”public servant rather than a party servant.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s most recent comments arrive only a short time after he admitted to being called out about his affair by Maria Shriver during a couple’s therapy session following the end of his governorship.

The Total Recall A-list actor continues to insist that he did not pay off his former maid to keep her mouth closed about their love child.
