Can An Adult Film Star Be President? Donald Trump Made Playboy Video Cameo

Shortly after Donald Trump sent out a tweet in the early morning hours of September 30, asking viewers to check out former Miss Universe Alicia Machado for having appeared in a sex tape, BuzzFeed News got their hands on footage from a Playboy VHS tape where Donald Trump made a Playboy Cameo in 2000.

It’s important to note that this video where Trump made a Playboy cameo is considered “softcore” and there are no scenes in which Trump is seen in any sexual scenes or even in any that would be considered indecent.

Still, this footage makes Trump the first major-party presidential candidate in American history to have made a Playboy cameo (or appear in a adult entertainment video). And that late night tweet? Well, that let’s Trump take another first – first presidential candidate in American history to ask voters to watch a sex tape.

In addition to the tweet above where Trump asks viewers to “check out sex tape and past,” he tweeted two additional things right before.

The video where Trump made a Playboy cameo in is titled Playboy Video Centerfold: Playmate 2000 Bernaola Twins. The presidential candidate welcomes Playboy Playmates to New York by popping a bottle of champagne on their limo and saying, “Beauty is beauty, and let’s see what happens with New York.” The story of the film is that the Playmates come to New York in search of the 2000 Playmate of the year. This is the cover of the film.

This video where Trump made a Playboy cameo was revealed the same day that Trump attacked former Miss Universe Alicia Machado for her supposed sex tape. This isn’t the first time you’ve heard these two names together. Machado accused Trump of mistreating her and insulting her when she won her title in 1996 – which is why she publicly endorsed Hillary. According to BuzzFeed News, Trump jabbed at Machado about her weight and called her an “eating machine” on Howard Stern in 1996. Machado is the woman that Donald Trump called “Miss Piggy.” Trump defended himself in his book, The Art of the Comeback.

“I could just see Alicia Machado, the current Miss Universe, sitting there plumply. God, what problems I had with this woman. First, she wins. Second, she gains 50 pounds. Third, I urge the committee not to fire her. Fourth, I go to the gym with her, in a show of support. Final act: She trashes me in The Washington Post — after I stood by her the entire time. What’s wrong with this picture? Anyway, the best part about the evening was the knowledge that next year, she would no longer be Miss Universe.”

When Machado and Hillary teamed up together to attack Trump, it seems that the presidential candidate had enough. He sent out the tweets to let the voters know that they couldn’t trust the source because of her “sex tape.” The Daily Caller reports that Machado’s sex tape was released in 2005, and that the former Miss Universe was nude in the Mexican Playboy in 2006 and 2012.

It’s unclear at this time if a tape really exists or not.

Does Trump’s Playboy Cameo Really Matter?

The Clinton camp wants you to think this Playboy cameo is a problem. Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told reporters the following.

“There’s been a lot of talk about sex tapes today, and in a strange turn of events, only one adult film has emerged today, and its star is Donald Trump.”

According to the Washington Post, Hillary Clinton said that the tweets were part of a meltdown and proved that Trump was “unhinged” and “temperamentally unfit to be President of the United States.”

“Who gets up at 3 o’clock in the morning to engage in a Twitter attack against a former Miss Universe? Really, why does he do things like that?”

Trump hasn’t commented on his Playboy cameo, but did point out one thing about his 3 a.m. tweets.

Even though Trump made a Playboy cameo in 2000, he signed a pledge this year promising to make laws against pornography – particularly child pornography — a priority as president. The Washington Examiner reported that the same pledge was sent to Hillary Clinton, but she didn’t sign it.

This Donald Trump Playboy cameo happened 16 years ago and in the video, he makes a quick appearance and isn’t involved in anything “indecent.” Is it really fair to say that he is in a sex tape now?

So the question remains, does this quick Playboy cameo make a difference to Trump’s efforts to become president? What do you think?
