Ben Flajnik And Courtney Robertson The Latest ‘Bachelor’ Couple To Split
Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have broken up, adding them to the line line of Bachelor couples to call it quits after getting engaged on the show.
As People noted, the couple spent much of their time trying to convince everyone that their controversial romance could work, but in the end they couldn’t make the relationship last. The magazine confirmed that after falling in love on the hit ABC reality show, Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have ended their engagement.
There were few details from the couple as to why they split.
“It’s true,” Flajnik told People on Friday, though she didn’t get into any reason fro the split.
The couple already took some time apart shortly after the show ended, but were back together for the Behind the Rose special.
Flajnik and Robertson were shaky from the start, with the airing of the Bachelor exposing a more conniving side to Courtney that Ben had not seen before.
“It’s been a rough ride,” Flajnik told host Chris Harrison at the time. “The woman that I saw on TV isn’t the Courtney that I know,” he said, adding, “Those are the moments and the instances that led to Courtney and I not talking for a time while the show aired. We were essentially broken up.”
But despite the troubles, the couple was trying a long-distance relationship and appeared to be going well, especially given their photo post earlier this week.
“I have a new appreciation for wine,” Robertson wrote on a photo that showed her and Flajnik smiling at a winery. “It’s amazing to see all the hard work and care that goes into wine making. Very proud of @Benflajnik and the boys!”
As Us Weekly pointed out, this isn’t the first public split for Ben Flajnik. Before he proposed to Courtney Robetson in 2011, the California winemaker proposed to Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette but was dumped in favor of J.P. Rosenbaum.

This chick is crazy.. I can't believe you stayed with her after you watched the show! And Ben, just a little advice, do something about your hair.. stop cutting it yourself.. you have enough momey to get a stylist.. and you really need some help in the wardrobe department. Just Sayin!

It happens all the time on Bachelor and Bachelorette, people don't think with their brains… good lord, everyone in the world saw that coming. She totally led him around by the nose and he totally let her. That was super lame!

Ben always seemed a little spoiled and slightly hissy for a male. He was pretty much cold towards a few of the women he rejected, treated them like less than himself so he's a jerk — if you re-watch you'll see. If they were not really his type {whatever that is…} he was tacky towards them. The little jerk needs some time alone. Courtney seemed similar as far as being kind of a twit.

Not a big Courtney fan either….thought she was nothing but a sleeze bucket and thought he could do much better. He has so much going for him as well…for one, owning a vineyard out of Sonoma. I use to live there and boy what a beautiful part of the country. Good luck Ben on finding a lady.

Ben HAD to choose Courtney, after his Fling-A-Ling with her in Puerto Rico, no girl with any sense would have stayed with him, upon seeing that mess! They despised Courtney (with good reason) and would not have been okay with him frolicking naked with her in the Puerto Rico Caribbean Sea.

It really bothers me that they called Ben a "she" and spelled the word "for" wrong in the 4th paragraph. I know it shouldn't be a big deal but seeing those errors in a news article drives me nuts. I never comment on these things but I just had to get that off my chest. As for the content, I'm not the least bit surprised about the break up.
