Jennifer Aniston Sides With Brad Pitt Amid His Divorce From Angelina Jolie
Jennifer Aniston has reportedly taken Brad Pitt’s side as his divorce from Angelina Jolie continues.
As Pitt faces allegations of child abuse after Jolie filed for full physical custody of their six children, a source claims the Friends actress has taken his side as she knows how much he cares for his family.
“[Jennifer Aniston] is firmly on [Brad Pitt’s] side in the custody battle,” a source told In Touch Weekly on September 30. “She can’t help but stick up for him. She knows how much he loves those kids.”
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were one of Hollywood’s favorite couples during their 5-year marriage and as their relationship fell apart amid allegations of cheating on Pitt’s part, many fans inflicted mean labels on Jolie, who was thought to have stolen Pitt from Jennifer Aniston as they filmed the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Although rumors of an affair weren’t confirmed prior to Jennifer Aniston’s divorce filing, Pitt and Jolie went public in Kenya just weeks after her filing was confirmed and one year after that, the couple welcomed their first biological child, daughter Shiloh, now 10. In the years that followed, Jolie and Pitt became the adoptive parents of Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, and Zahara, 11. They then welcomed twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, biologically.
Currently, Jennifer Aniston’s ex-husband is being investigated due to claims of child abuse but according to the In Touch Weekly report, Aniston isn’t sold on the allegations and knows her former partner’s heart is in the right place when it comes to his children.
The In Touch Weekly report also suggested that Jolie was the “wife from hell” and said Jennifer Aniston wasn’t too surprised to discover news of Pitt’s divorce proceedings.
“[Jennifer Aniston] couldn’t help but smile and gloat at first when she heard Brad and Angelina were divorcing. She knew this day would come,” the source told the magazine, according to a report by Hollywood Life earlier this week.

In other Jennifer Aniston news, she and her ex-husband were rumored to have engaged in a secret meeting over the summer in New York City behind the backs of both Jolie and Aniston’s husband, Justin Theroux. According to a Radar Online report on September 28, Jennifer Aniston and Pitt were caught on a security camera making their way into the Gansevoort Hotel in July.
“[Jennifer Aniston] has been talking to Brad,” dished an insider. “She’s told friends it would be a dream to get back together with him. The truth is, she’s been secretly waiting for him to leave Angelina.”
During their rumored time together, the source explained, Pitt opened up to Jennifer Aniston about his marriage trouble and attempted to patch things up with his ex-wife. Then, after the alleged tryst, Aniston was said to have played coy about whether or not she and Pitt were intimate.
“She’s just happy to hear he’s divorcing because she always held on to a little hope,” said a friend. “He’s the love of her life, and she’s never really gotten over him.”
In 2015, after 4 years of dating, Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux, her Wanderlust co-star. However, according to the report, Jennifer Aniston has never truly been happy with the actor and is still harboring feelings for Pitt. So, Jennifer Aniston is “now trapped between a rock and a hard place, because she does love Justin — but not as much as Brad!”
