Robert Pattinson Said YES to New ‘Twilight’ Movie With Kristen Stewart?
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might share screen space for another Twilight-related movie. The recent report suggests that the actor has agreed to star in another film featuring him along with his ex-girlfriend.
A source has revealed to Hollywood Life how Robert Pattinson feels regarding a new Twilight movie. According to their insider, the actor wants to save his failing career and Kristen Stewart will only consider the offer if the studio will offer a good amount of money.
“[Robert Pattinson] is more likely to come back if they make more Twilight films because he thinks it would re-spark his career, where Kristen [Stewart] wants to stay away from the franchise because she thinks of it as high school and she feels that she has graduated onto other opportunities that are more her right now. But if they pull up the Brinks truck to both of them they would highly consider it, because especially in Hollywood, money talks.”
Over the last week, several reports have surfaced online that started this rumor of a new Twilight movie. The speculations emerged online when Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s co-chairman Patrick Wachberger talked about Twilight’s future during his conversation with Screen Daily.
During his conversation, he was asked about the possibility of a new Twilight-kind of a film. Wachberger simply stated that he cannot confirm a new film but there’s still a possibility.
“Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”
Hollywood Life’s claim directly contradicts Pattinson’s earlier interview with Elle France. During the interview when he was asked about Twilight’s future, the actor simply stated that he does not wish to portray the role of a vampire anymore.
“On the contrary, I think my name on a poster rallies my fan base. I hope to awake their curiosity and show them a different vision of cinema. Don’t forget that they grow up too. And they didn’t want to see all their lives Robert Pattinson playing a vampire. We tend to devalue the fans. It’s a mistake. The fan is an audience member like the others,” he further added.
On the other hand, Kristen Stewart is open to all the ideas and future possibilities. Stewart, who is in a very happy relationship with Alicia Cargile, stated during one of her interviews that professionally she has no problem with any future projects.
“Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”
This is not the first time there have been rumors about Kristen getting back together with Robert just to save his failing career. Earlier this year, a source close to the former couple claimed that since they did not get any financial success in their individual films, the former lovers are thinking to get back together.
“Both have had little to no career success since they split. Now agents for both of them are looking for a project for them to star in together.”
However, Gossip Cop debunked these claims and stated that it is highly unlikely that fans will ever get to see these stars back together on the big screen.
