Angelina Jolie Filed For Divorce After Brad Pitt And Maddox Jolie-Pitt’s Plane Fight [Report]
Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing has been rumored to have followed an alleged affair between Brad Pitt and his Allied co-star, but according to numerous other reports, Jolie filed documents to end her marriage to Pitt after a fight broke out between the actor and their oldest son, 15-year-old Maddox.
When Angelina Jolie filed for divorce last week, her entertainment attorney Robert Offer told TMZ she made the decision to file for divorce “for the health of the family.” TMZ also shared details from Jolie’s filing, which included statements regarding Pitt’s alleged anger problem and the danger it presented her children.
A short time later, news hit the web claiming Pitt had engaged in a dispute with Maddox on their private plane. As they traveled from France to Los Angeles, with a brief pit stop, Pitt reportedly became upset with Maddox and several rumors have claimed he made contact with the boy in some way.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship began 12 years ago on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and since then, they’ve welcomed a total of six children both biologically and through adoption. As a single parent, Angelina Jolie adopted Maddox, 15, from Cambodia, Zahara, 11, from Ethiopia, and Pax, 12, from Vietnam. Years later, Pitt became the adoptive father of the three children. Angelina Jolie also gave birth to three children, daughter Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.
Last Monday, just weeks after celebrating their anniversary, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce after 2 years of marriage and requested she be granted full physical custody of their children. In her divorce documents, Jolie listed September 15, one day after Pitt’s alleged plane fight, as their date of separation.
“It was during the descent into the Minnesota airport that all hell broke loose,” a source explained to In Touch Weekly, via a report by Hollywood Life on September 28. “[Pitt] told Pax to sit down and Pax told his dad to ‘shut the f**k’ up, causing Brad to get out of his seat and get in Pax’s face and tell him to ‘f**king sit down now.'”
“[Maddox Jolie-Pitt] then got in the middle of it and [Angelina Jolie] started screaming hysterically,” the source revealed.
As their plane landed, staff at the airport reportedly noticed the family dispute.
“Workers on the tarmac could hear [Pitt] and [Angelina Jolie] yelling before they even got off,” a source from the airport told the magazine. “Brad was seriously drunk.”

“Brad [was] seen yelling a lot during it, but nothing physical,” another source told Us Weekly after it was alleged that there was a video of the incident. “He got drunk and was fighting with Angie… Maddox stepped in to defend Angie and got in Brad’s face.”
Following Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing, Pitt was reportedly investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services due to claims of child abuse. Now, sources claim Pitt is dedicated to his kids and is doing what he can to be completely cooperative with authorities.
“He really wants to see the kids and to work out an arrangement that is best for them,” an insider told E! News on September 29. “[He] wants to work things out privately and amicably… [He] takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children.”
Another insider added that he “is cooperating fully.”
“He will continue to do what’s in the best interest of the children…[He] is most concerned about his children and the best thing for them is to keep the situation private,” the source explained.
