Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Marriage To Tom Cruise, Trouble In Marriage With Urban?

The beauty spoke quite a lot about love during her interview for next month’s issue of Red Magazine, and spoke openly about not only her 10-year marriage to country singer Keith Urban, but also about her first marriage to Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise. Kidman shared about her fears as a newlywed the second time around, noting that there is a worry due to wanting it to last this time. The Huffington Post shares the star’s words.
“That’s really big for us. It was really up and down for the first three months. We’ve been through a lot for 10 years. And we’re stronger than ever. When you’re older, you’ve been through things, you’ve made mistakes. So you come into it [a second marriage], still giddy, but wanting it to last. We always consider the ‘us.’ We say, ‘Is this going to be good for us?’ It’s the simplest phrase, but it works.'”
The Oscar-winner also spoke about how young she was when she married Tom Cruise, with whom she shares two adopted children, Isabella and Connor. The former couple were married 11 years, and Kidman can’t help but reflect on her age, yet sharing it was what she wanted at the time.
“I look back now and I’m like, ‘What?’ You look at Taylor Swift, I mean how old is she? She’s 26,” Kidman said. “I had two kids by the time I was 27 and I’d been married for four years. But that’s what I wanted.”
At this point, as it was then, Nicole shared that being a mother is extremely important to her. Urban and Kidman have two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. The actress made it clear that parenting is her main focus and she loves her children “with all her heart.”
“Motherhood is about the journey,” the actress said. “There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.”

Although Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban apparently struggled in the first three months of marriage, the two have seemed to be the picture of a perfect relationship ever since. However, last month there were rumors that started flying about the loving couple. The subject of a split was raised due to Kidman appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival solo, something that has been rare during their marriage and relationship. Nicole, at the time, explained that Keith was on tour, and that he wished he could have been with her. Yet, rumors continue about the pair. Hollywood Life indicates that signs are pointing to a split.
“Keith has ‘reached his breaking point’ after putting up with Nicole’s ‘controlling’ actions. ‘He feels like he’s living in a dictatorship rather than a marriage,’ an alleged source tells the publication.”
The publication goes on to share that Kidman has always kept a “close eye” on Keith, due to his troubled past with addictions. Other details shared involve the singer wanting space to figure things out. Is the story true, or just another tabloid rumor? It’s hard to discern following the news of the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split. It now seems anything is possible.
