Watch Kate McKinnon’s Response To Hillary Clinton’s Emmy Congrats, ‘SNL’ Comedian Drinks With Margot Robbie In Promo

Kate McKinnon’s response to Hillary Clinton’s congratulations on her Emmy win is perfect. The Saturday Night Live comedian was also just seen drinking wine and dancing with the upcoming host of the SNL, Margot Robbie, in promos for the season premiere. Watch the hilarious videos below.

Kate McKinnon appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he asked her about winning an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at this year’s award ceremony.

Only three other SNL cast members have ever won this award while on the show: Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, and Dana Carvey.

The comedian said that the whole night was a bit of a blur.

“I don’t remember what I said.”

Fallon was surprised that she really did not remember that evening.

“I came to many hours later and I was eating spaghetti alone in a hotel room, not the first time that’s happened.”

The talk show host told her that she thanked both of the women she is best known for impersonating.

“You thanked Ellen DeGeneres and Hillary Clinton, because you do a great impression of both of those people.”

Jimmy Fallon told McKinnon both of the women had tweeted at the comedian to congratulate her on her Emmy win.

The comedian told Fallon that she was not on Twitter.

“I’m not on Twitter so I can’t respond.”

Jimmy told McKinnon that now was her chance to respond to the tweets. He wanted to know what she thought of Hillary Clinton congratulating her.

“I would say to her what I said when I met her, which is, ‘Hi.'”

The Saturday Night Live cast member mentioned that she actually had no idea where her Emmy award was at this point.

“It’s had some sort of adventure like the Travelocity gnome.”

Also in case you were wondering, Kate McKinnon’s cat is ungrateful and overweight.

Saturday Night Live recently announced that they have brought on Alec Baldwin to play Donald Trump for the entire season, according to the New York Times.

Kate McKinnon will, of course, be playing Senator Hillary Clinton.

McKinnon also appeared in another promo for SNL with the season’s first host Margot Robbie. The SNL cast member and the Suicide Squad actress are seen drinking wine and dancing around in the pre-premiere pre-party.

This will be Margot Robbie’s debut hosting gig.

In the promo video, McKinnon asks Robbie who she will be voting for in this year’s upcoming election because she is Australian.

“I’m also a felon.”

After their failed girl-talk, the women cut loose and dance around in the studio.

Kate mouths that Margot is “crazy” before the promo ends.

The SNL comedian also casually mentions that she has let a raccoon in the studio and that she may have a crush on it.

Saturday Night Live will be entering season 42 this weekend. Two veteran cast members, Taran Killam and Jay Pharaoh, will not be returning to the show. New cast members include Alex Moffat, Melissa Villasenor, and SNL writer Mikey Day.

Robbie hosts SNL‘s season premiere this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET with musical performances by The Weeknd. Next week, Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda will host.

The Girl On The Train star Emily Blunt is also set to host in the upcoming weeks.
