‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Stassi Schroeder Defends Katie Maloney, Says Lala Kent Has A Bad Heart

Vanderpump Rules will be serving up a big plate of drama for Season 5, and some of it is already spilling into the real world. Bravo TV posted a trailer for the upcoming season of the hit reality show, and it looks like the SUR staff is as wild as ever. The Vanderpump Rules cast members are starting to move into their 30s, but you would never know it based on the way they carry on in the Season 5 trailer.

While the wedding of Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney will be an epic story arc this season (Lisa Vanderpump actually officiated the ceremony!), fans will first have to get through the wild bachelor/bachelorette party in New Orleans, skinny-dipping scenes, nude photo shoots, and the incessant infighting among the castmates — including the bride and groom.

In addition, sophomore cast member Lala Kent will be back for more drama — both on and off camera. One scene shows Katie calling Lala a “whore,” and Vanderpump cast member Kristen Doute accuses her nemesis of sleeping with a married man.

While filming for the Bravo reality show wrapped over the summer, the real-life Vanderpump Rules drama has not died down just because the cameras stopped rolling. Lala recently posted Bravo’s official cast photo, making sure to point out that Tom Schwartz is leaning away from his new bride in the glossy pic. Last season’s Vanderpump Rules newcomer also took the opportunity to call Katie a “no sex havin’ Teletubby.”

But Vanderpump Rules veteran Stassi Schroeder called out Kent and also came to Maloney’s defense on Twitter.

“How God let you get through the whole sperm meets egg process is beyond me,” she wrote to Lala. “Leave her alone, @lala_kent. Enough. You have a bad heart.”

It wasn’t long ago that fans thought Stassi was the bad egg on Vanderpump Rules, but she seems to have passed the torch.

Of course, Kent doesn’t think she has taken the place of Vanderpump Rules‘ resident bad girl. Earlier this year when comparisons were first made, Lala took to Twitter to set the record straight on how opposite she and Stassi really are.

“I’m not the ‘new Stassi,'” Lala tweeted at the time. “She has blonde hair, a fashion blog, I sing r&b & wear hoops. While she is at fashion shows, I’m watching #BET.”

Ever since her controversial debut on Vanderpump Rules last season, Lala Kent has dealt with haters, and now it seems that her Vanderpump co-stars are serving up the haterade, too. Lala told the Bravo TV website that she received backlash from her female Vanderpump Rules co-stars after she went swimming while topless during a cast trip to Hawaii.

“I’ve never been attacked like that by anyone let alone a group of people. After that, it was time to show that I’m a gangster and coming at me like that isn’t going to fly. I started taking names at that point, putting anybody on blast that had a problem. I had played nice, but there was no winning. So I changed the game.”

Still, one person has had her back: Head honcho Lisa Vanderpump. And the feeling seems to be mutual.

“There are too many things I love about her,” Lala revealed of her wealthy employer. “She is a boss and keeps us all in line, but most importantly she has a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. She taught me how to stand up for myself but also taught me how to be vulnerable without being weak. That’s a good lady right there.”

Vanderpump Rules returns for its fifth season on November 7, Monday, at 9/8c on Bravo.
