Kelly Dodd Shares Loving Photos Of Herself With Husband Michael Dodd
Is Kelly Dodd’s marriage still in trouble? The morning after the latest The Real Housewives of Orange County episode aired, during which Kelly cried as she talked to the other women and her mom about her marriage to Michael Dodd, Kelly posted a photo of herself being passionately kissed by Michael.
Kelly celebrated her birthday with her family. The photo shows Michael leaning down to kiss Kelly as she’s sitting in front of her birthday cake and a glass of wine. Their daughter, Jolie, stands close by with a smile on her face. Kelly was obviously happy with what Michael and her family planned for her, for she declared that she had “the best birthday” ever.
Another photo shows Michael leaning in towards a smiling Kelly as Jolie hugs and kisses her.
People left comments on Kelly’s photos expressing happiness that she and Michael are still together and seemingly happy with one another. Some people commended Kelly on not giving up on the marriage.
Kelly’s marriage was a big topic of conversation on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. In previous episodes, Kelly revealed that she and Michael were once separated for two years and even went through the process of divorce, during which she got engaged to another man. Kelly admitted that the divorce got really nasty, with Michael doing all he can to stop her from moving on from him. Kelly even revealed that during the divorce battle, Michael had a psychiatric evaluation done, which revealed that he has narcissistic personality disorder. According to Kelley, they eventually reconciled, and she remained in the marriage because it was easier to be married to him than continuing to fight with him.
On Monday night’s episode, Kelly revealed even more about her marriage. Finding Michael painting a room in the house, Kelly started talking to him about their marital issues. Admitting that they’re both control freaks, she told him that they need to communicate with one another better, instead of Michael just shutting her down when she tries to talk about their problems. She also brings up how, during their divorce battle, her lawyer negotiated a big settlement for her but he wouldn’t pay it.
In a confessional interview, Kelly Dodd admitted that she filed for divorce because of Michael’s control issues.
“I filed for divorce from Michael because he was really controlling, looking through my phone records, getting mad if I made friends. I felt just like I was being suffocated.”
In his own confessional interview, Michael Dodd admitted that the marriage was a lot of work.
“We’ve only been back together for 2 1/2 years and we’re dealing with trying to figure it each other out while dealing with the baggage of being separated for two years. It’s, um, a lot of work.”
In a scene with her mom, Kelly confessed that she’s scared that if she were to try to divorce Michael again, he would take their daughter away from her. Why would Kelly think such a thought? Because during their divorce battle, he threatened that he’d get full custody of Jolie. During that scene, viewers also learned that Kelly’s mom stayed in an unhappy and miserable marriage for the sake of the kids, not divorcing until the kids were grown.
Later during a spa getaway with Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, and Heather Dubrow, Kelly broke down sobbing as she and Vicki got a treatment together. Kelly said that Michael didn’t do anything for their 10th anniversary, not even getting her a card. When she brought herself a purse, Michael accused her of getting it from another man. After Vicki had told Kelly to work on her marriage because divorce is not the answer, Kelly sobbed as she talked about how hard she tried to divorce Michael and how she feared Jolie was being affected by the fighting.

Then over lunch, Kelly told Tamra Judge and Heather Dubrow why she cried in the massage room with Vicki. Kelly said that she’s the one who has to do everything to keep the marriage alive, that Michael “threatens” her and that even her mom wants her to get divorced from Michael. Tamra, whose own contentious divorce from Simon Barney played out on The Real Housewives of Orange County, warned Kelly that her life, if she chooses to leave Michel again, will get even harder before it gets better.
Tamra, in her confessional interview, said that Kelly’s outrageous outbursts and behavior were starting to make sense, pointing out that hurt people lash out at others.
It seems that viewers will watch Kelly and Michael’s marriage get better. A preview for next week’s The Real Housewives of Orange County episode shows Kelly and Michael having a civil and calm discussion about how they need to respect one another for the sake of their daughter. They both said that they’re tired of fighting with one another and admitted to missing one another during their separation. In an interview, Kelly said that she’s grateful that her mom stayed in her marriage, explaining that while they didn’t have the happiest family, at least they were a family.
Kelly’s social media posts also show a happy marriage and family. On Sunday, she posted a photo of Michael in front of her at their favorite restaurant.
Three weeks ago, she posted a photo of herself lounging on the sand with Michael.
Vicki Gunvalson posted a comment to that beach photo expressing happiness for Michael and Kelly.
“Great picture!! Love seeing you two so happy.”
Vicki, as well as former housewives Lizzie Rovsek and Gretchen Rossi, actually attended Kelly’s big birthday party on Sunday.
However, it seems that not everyone on the cast has sympathy and empathy for Kelly Dodd when it comes to her marriage struggles. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, when Shannon Beador appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live last week, Andy played a clip of Kelly’s breakdown to Vicki over her marriage, during which Kelly expressed regret that her daughter Jolie was going to grow up thinking it’s okay for a man to talk in such a disrespectful way to a woman. Shannon responded to the clip by saying that Jolie is now also going to see how her mother behaves on the show. “Just saying,” Shannon concluded with a smile.
