Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart To Star In ‘Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined’?

Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, could be the name of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s reunion movie.

Earlier this month, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Patrick Wachsberger talked about a possibility of a new Twilight-related a movie. During his conversation with Screen Daily, he talked about how the studio hired Robert Pattinson and how the vampire-human love story saga changed the life of everyone who was involved in the project.

“Robert Pattinson only came in three weeks before shoot,” says Wachsberger. “An assistant, who has subsequently become a very successful executive, said, ‘There’s this guy called Rob Pattinson from the fourth Harry Potter…’ I said, ‘Well, let’s fly him in from London.'”

When in his interview it was asked about the possibility of a new film featuring Pattinson and Stewart, Mr. Wachsberger stated that he cannot confirm it but there’s indeed a possibility.

“Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”

Now, as the fans of Twilight remember, Stephenie treated her readers with a sizzling novel in Oct. 2015, called Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined. The new book was written in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Twilight franchise.

Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined is set in an independent, parallel universe in which the most significant difference is that the author swapped the genders, with only a few exceptions. Basically, the book was all about a human teenage boy named Beaufort Swan who fell in love with an intriguing and mysterious female vampire, Edythe Cullen.

During her conversation with Good Morning America, Stephenie went on to explain what she had in mind when she was writing a story from a new perspective.

“I wanted to do something fun for the 10th anniversary and the publisher wanted like a foreword and I thought, ‘Well, maybe something more interesting.'”

There is no official confirmation from any of the stars’ representatives that they are indeed featuring in a new project together. But the recently released statement from Lionsgate’s co-chairman indicates that there is a possibility of a new film in which fans will again get to see their beloved stars on big screen.

Well, fans are way too excited just by knowing that there is a possibility of a reunion film. But, many wonder if Kristen and Robert would like to share screen after their highly publicized breakup.

During her earlier interview with Uproxx, Stewart made it very clear about her take on a future Twilight movie, or again co-starring with Pattinson. Stewart, who is in a happy relationship with Alicia Cargile, stated that she is open to all the ideas, but she won’t stake her personal life on some reunion.

“Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”

It would be extremely hard for the studio to bring back Stewart for a new film, as she herself revealed earlier this year that she struggled with “debilitating anxiety” when they were filming the blockbuster.
