Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Not Saying Anything About Brangelina Split

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are not going to open up about the “Brangelina” split. Despite the rumors, neither star has publicly commented about Angelina Jolie’s shocking divorce from husband Brad Pitt on Monday, Sept. 19.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux quietly stepped out together on Saturday night, Sept. 25, in New York City. The couple reportedly had an even quieter dinner as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce continues to make headlines, reports Entertainment Tonight. Aniston, 47, was photographed wearing a black tank top with black ankle pants, and with a black jacket draped across her arm. She paired her look with a black belt and matching pointed-toe shoes.

Theroux, 45, was also dressed in all black, wearing a vest over a long-sleeved T-shirt and jeans. Aniston cracked a small smile to the paparazzi as she kept a protective hand on her husband since they have been hounded by divorce rumors recently. TMZ caught up with the actor flying solo as he made a quick entrance to his New York City apartment earlier on this week. Theroux is currently in the city to promote his new film, The Girl on the Train.

In case you forgot, Aniston was previously married to Pitt when he met Jolie on the set of the blockbuster film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The high-profile couple then announced their divorce in January, 2005, just a few months before the film premiered in theaters, reports E! Online. While Aniston has kept quiet about Jolie and Pitt’s divorce, sources revealed the real reason why she flew out of Los Angeles in the first place, as told by Hollywood Life.

“Jen doesn’t want do deal with all the attention she gets in L.A. with the Brangelina news. She can control things a little more away from L.A., so she wants to have things cool down a little bit before she returns home. That is one major reason she left L.A. The more chance to hide and still get business done is key for her right now.”

This is, however, Aniston’s first sighting since the “Brangelina” split. The last time she was spotted was while out solo in New York City. She made a surprise appearance in Manhattan wearing a pair of light-wash jeans with a black bomber jacket and a tan wide-brimmed hat. Sources told Us Weekly that Aniston has been trying to avoid the paparazzi lately.

“She’s being hounded so much that she’s leaving town,” a source said on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Everyone does want to know what is on Aniston’s mind right now. While she has expressed that she wants nothing to do with the “love triangle” that she’s tired of being a part of for the past 10 years, the rest of the world still wants to see Aniston rejoice over the news that Jolie divorced Pitt. The New York Post even used a photo of a laughing and smiling Aniston to announce the couple’s split with the caption, “Brangelina 2004-2016” in the left hand corner.

In a powerful essay for The Huffington Post back in July, as reported by PopSugar, Aniston revealed that she’s “fed up” with the rumors about whether or not she’s pregnant.

“For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ‘journalism,’ the ‘First Amendment’ and ‘celebrity news.’

“Every day my husband and I are harassed by dozens of aggressive photographers staked outside our home who will go to shocking lengths to obtain any kind of photo, even if it means endangering us or the unlucky pedestrians who happen to be nearby. But setting aside the public safety aspect, I want to focus on the bigger picture of what this insane tabloid ritual represents to all of us.”
