‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Canceled? Conflicting Reports Question Whether Future Of ‘KUWTK’ Is In Trouble

Could one of reality TV’s biggest television shows be getting the ax?

According to a report from OK! Magazine, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is on the chopping block. The print version of the magazine cited an unnamed source, who said that America is simply getting tired of the same old storylines which have been spoon fed to viewers for the past 12 seasons.

“It appears people are finally sick of this family being shoved in their faces.”

The report comes on the heels of rumors that reality queens Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner both want out of the E! reality TV series — rumors that the OK! report reassert. In fact, back in April, then-19-year-old Kylie Jenner told Glamour magazine via E! Online that when the show is finished, she won’t be interested in “doing anything else that would make [her] more public.”

But according to a second celebrity news outlet, the rumors that Keeping Up with the Kardashians is canceled — and that Kylie and Kim want to leave — simply aren’t true. Gossip Cop claims to have checked with a reliable KUWTK source to discover that the rumor that the show is being canceled is false.

“Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us KUWTK isn’t being canceled, nor does anyone in the family want it to end. We’re told the show will be continuing for the foreseeable future, and the outlet’s entire report is simply ‘not true.'”

This isn’t the first time that rumors have tried to cancel Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As the Inquisitr reported back in August, the show has seen lower ratings during the 12th season, but that doesn’t mean the show is going off the air anytime soon. In fact, in 2015, E! signed up for four more seasons of the show.

Gossip Cop also busted the rumor that KUWTK was being canceled in August. At the time, Star magazine reported that the “show has turned into a grind for the kids.” Then, Gossip Cop reported that the show would be continuing “for the foreseeable future.”

The celebrity news outlet also referred to a March 2014 rumor that KUWTK was canceled. In short, the rumor has been floating around for years, and we’ve yet to hear confirmation that the series has had it’s run.

Still, some wonder if it’s time for Keeping Up with the Kardashians to come to an end. Throughout the 12 seasons of the show, fans have seen Kylie Jenner grow up from a 9-year-old girl to a stunning cosmetics magnate. They’ve watch Kim Kardashian get married, divorced, and married again, all while becoming a mother. They’ve watched Kendall Jenner blossom into an in-demand supermodel, and they’ve watched Kourtney Kardashian grow into motherhood while attempting to keep her family together. Khloe Kardashian has gotten married and divorced, and Kris Jenner has watched as her husband transitioned into a woman. Rob Kardashian has left the show and recently returned with his own series, now engaged to Blac Chyna, the former arch-nemesis of his half-sister Kylie.

Those critical of the show’s continuation wonder what else fans could possibly watch the Kardashian-Jenner clan do that the haven’t done during the past 12 seasons.

What do you think? Do you count yourself among those who think Keeping Up with the Kardashians should be canceled? Why or why not?
