Angelina Jolie Wants To Renounce Her American Citizenship, Move To England And Become A Peer In The House Of Lords

Over a week ago, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, effectively ending Brangelina. Although the juicy rumors of infidelity, drug use, and drinking have been flooding the headlines, could the reason for their split really be because Angelina wants to uproot their family and move to England to pursue her political agenda and Brad wants to continue acting?

One man says yes. He claims that the reason that Angelina and Brad split is because the actress wants to renounce her American citizenship, move to England, and become a peer in the House of Lords. He claims that Brad calls Angelina’s political pals her “coven.” Is Angelina really a “woman with an agenda” so focused on this goal, she is willing to break her marriage to succeed with this political ambition?

Speaking to the Daily Star, Ian Halperin, who wrote Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Angie is a woman with an “agenda.”

“She’s a woman with an agenda, she wants to leave the United States, she wants to work in the UK, she wants to get in the House of Lords, she has a non-profit foundation there. She has her sights set on England.”

The “coven” Pitt refers to are two former political aides to British politician William Hague, Chloe Dalton, and Arminka Helic. Helix has had a storied life, having escaped Bosnia and the horrors of ethnic cleansing just two decades ago. Due to her ordeal, she naturally went into politics to solve some of the horrific problems. She became a political advisor to the Tory Hague, and eventually was made a Life Peer and a baroness.

Pitt’s entire world has turned around. The Big Short actor has discovered that the two women have taken over Angie’s life. Originally both women were brought in to help fine tune Jolie’s campaign work and to assist the actress with speech writing. Their advice went beyond politics as it was on their recent recommendation that Jolie remove the long-time personal assistants that worked with both Pitt and Jolie.

In a short period, the two women have slowly infiltrated Angelina and Brad’s world. A year ago, Chloe and Arminka became business associates with Angelina. The Sun reported that they joined as co-directors of the company JPDH London. This stands for Jolie Pitt Dalton Helic foundation. The trio has been involved with helping resolve the refugee crisis and took part of the Global Sexual Violence Initiative and have done some writing on their causes.

Now part of Jolie’s deep elite inner circle, the two women have completely replaced nearly all of the Pitt-Jolie assistants with only the pair advising Jolie. Jolie has been especially close to Arminka and has labeled her a mentor.

“I’m extremely proud of her. She has been in many ways a mentor to me and she is an extraordinary woman and I’m very, very honoured to be here today.”

Pitt is allegedly not happy with any of this. What infuriated Pitt is that this decision was made bypassing any discussion with him. Instead of a trusted team that he has worked with for numerous years, there are only the two women that have their own agenda with his wife. These assistants have been with him for as much as two decades. Celebrities such as Pitt have a deep connection with their assistants and perhaps are closer to them in many ways than their social friends. Word has it that Pitt is not happy with the direction that the two women are taking Jolie.

This may not be the first time that a celebrity is swayed by someone with personal motives. Then again, for as long as Pitt has become involved with Jolie, she has made it clear that her life in Hollywood would be temporary. She has always aspired to get involved with helping others and has been very active in her volunteer work. Many people diving into politics start out with this sort of ambition. They want to change the world and have some ideas as to how they can achieve this. Jolie is working with two experienced women that can help her achieve her goals.

On the other hand, anyone could argue as to why Jolie has decided to renounce her American citizenship to aspire to the British House of Lords. Now, with the Brexit bill passing, there is some uncertainty on the influence of Great Britain on the world political stage, let alone the economics of the country. Currently, there has not been a lot of change, but the actual Brexit has not yet commenced. Is this really the best place for Angelina to rest her political ambitions?

Many could consider it odd that Jolie, who most likely has an EU citizenship as her mother was French, as well as American citizenship, is not striving to enter into politics in France or the United States. Surely, any change she may want to affect could be effectively done working in the governments of either country. While no source has mentioned this as a possible point of argument between the estranged couple, it could be conceived that Pitt brought this up and the “coven” could have possibly told Jolie it is time to remove Pitt from her life, just as she had done with the long-term assistants.

Whatever the case, it does appear that Angelina Jolie-Pitt has a new vision for her life and career change to accompany this.
