‘Big Brother: Over The Top’ Spoilers: ‘BBOTT’ Cast Reveal News, And Weekly Schedule Released

Big Brother: Over the Top (or what some have labeled Big Brother 19) is due to commence in just days and fans are anxious to find out who will be part of the cast and exactly what the weekly schedule of the streaming-only show will be.

As noted by Carter Matt, almost every aspect of this new Big Brother format is a mystery, including the cast and whether they will be “…roughly the same exact archetypes we have had many times over the past few seasons.” Because Big Brother has never been an online-only show, although live feeds are broadcast from inside the house at a fairly consistent frequency, it is not clear how the competitions, ceremonies, and other tried and true Big Brother standards will play out.

According to CBS, the new cast of Big Brother: Over the Top will be introduced to the world on Monday, September 26, two days before the premiere. The CBS website, however, does not specify the exact hour this will take place. One thing that is certain regarding the cast is that either Jason Roy from Big Brother 17 or Jozea Flores, an early boot from Big Brother 18, will join the show.

Fans have been voting online for one of them to enter the Big Brother: Over the Top house, and which player received the most votes may or may not be revealed Monday with the regular cast, as at times, Big Brother has introduced returning players during the premiere show, which is Wednesday night.

According to Big Brother Access, CBS has released a Big Brother: Over the Top schedule, indicating when certain key events in the game are slated to take place in the house.

The tentative schedule is as follows (it should be noted all times shown are Eastern):

Sunday – 10 p.m. Final Weekly Safety Ceremony And Nomination Reveal

Monday – 4 p.m. Veto Competition

10 p.m. Weekday Replay

Tuesday – 4 p.m. Veto Meeting

Friday – 10 p.m. Weekday Replay

10:30 p.m. Live Diary Room Sessions

Saturday – 4 p.m. Have Not Reveals

10 p.m. Safety Ceremony

Although long-time Big Brother host Julie Chen will clearly be a key part of the show via houseguest interviews, it has not yet been made clear whether she will actually host Big Brother: Over the Top or if another BB personality, possibly Big Brother’s own Jeff Schroeder, will do the honors.

Jeff hosts a Big Brother aftershow and is known for his preseason interviews with houseguests, as well his backyard finale inquiries with players each season.

The rest of what will take place on Big Brother: Over the Top seems to parallel the regular show regarding competitions and ceremonies, with the exception of the Safety Ceremony, which is a novel concept to Big Brother.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Julie commented on this aspect of Big Brother: Over the Top, noting during a backyard finale interview with Rob Cesternino of Rob Has a Podcast that, “The houseguests will gather around and they want to hear their name called out because if it’s called out, they’re safe.”

Julie, who stated she thinks the initial season of Big Brother: Over the Top will be “crazier” than the regular show, dropped another hint about the format during her interview with Rob, saying, “America will be deciding more than just the winner…” She added she couldn’t reveal “specifics,” but revealed America will “control a lot of the game.”

Big Brother: Over the Top premieres Wednesday, September 28 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS All Access.
