Rita Ora New Album 2016: Justin Bieber Collaboration In The Works Before Release?

Rita Ora is reportedly planning on dropping her anticipated sophomore album later this year, having signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records just two months ago.

The former X Factor UK judge found herself in quite an awkward position when she was forced to sue her former record label, Roc Nation, who she claimed had stalled the process of her music career moving forward because they were too focused on other artists with bigger followings.

Many took that as a slight diss towards Rihanna, who Perez Hilton believed was said to have played a part in Rita Ora’s struggle to release any music with Roc Nation following the success of her debut album, Ora, all the way back in 2012.

The lawsuit was settled over the summer, allowing Rita Ora to sign with Atlantic, which she says has made her feel right at home. According to Evening Standard, as quoted by Digital Spy, the singer told the outlet that she’s happier than ever with where she is at right now — the record label execs are supporting her one hundred percent, with the possible outcome probably leading the sophomore’s release by the year’s end.

“I’m desperate to get my music out. I think I’m now at a point in my life where I have a new amazing label, we really have taken it to the next level. It’s very song-based,” Ora reveals.

“I’ve not only grown as an individual but as a woman. People are going to see that. It’s just everything from my personal life to what I couldn’t do due to previous situations and now being free. I’ve never been freer than I am right now.”

Rita Ora mentions that she’s been caught up in filming America’s Next Top Model for three months in New York City, but has flown back to London to finish off recording her album. She’s due to make her way out to Los Angeles to put the finishing touches to it, and if all goes well, fans will be hearing the debut single sooner than expected.

News of Rita Ora’s sophomore album release comes just two months after she was seen dining out in West Hollywood with Justin Bieber, fueling reports that the twosome might have been hooking up.

Reports at the time claimed that Justin was definitely attracted to Rita, but they hadn’t taken their supposed friendship to the next level just yet. Ora made it known that she was very much interested in working with the singer for her forthcoming album, and from what insiders have gathered, Justin didn’t hesitate to ask when the two will get in the studio together.

As of right now, it’s unclear whether Justin Bieber will still be featured on the new album, or whether he has already recorded the collaboration with Rita. Considering that Ora is planning on flying out to Los Angeles next month, there is still hope that the duo will get together for the collaboration if it hasn’t already happened.

Rumor has it that Rita Ora has been working with many producers for her new record, including those that have worked with Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars. She’s putting her all into this album, convinced that when fans hear the final product, they’ll be more than satisfied with the outcome.
