Angelina Jolie Being Consoled By Johnny Depp As She Sets Her Sights On Brad Pitt Divorce

Angelina Jolie has turned to Johnny Depp for consolation concerning her recent split with Brad Pitt as she sets her sights on pursuing a divorce case against the actor, the Daily Mail reports.

To top it off, Jolie just hired his divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, as per Depp’s recommendation.

Angelina and Johnny’s friendship started when they met on the set of The Tourist in 2009. They have been close friends ever since. In fact, Jolie has constantly supported Depp during his breakup with former wife, Amber Heard. And now it looks like the Pirates of the Caribbean star is returning the favor now that Jolie is going through marital struggles.

There was a bit of speculation that Angelina’s fidelity towards Pitt had been put to the test when she worked with Depp on the set of The Tourist. But, nothing beyond regular friendship materialized since Pitt and Depp’s then-wife Vanessa Paris were also on the set.

A source close to Jolie provided The Sun with some interesting information on what Jolie and Depp may have been up to since the former’s much-publicized split with Pitt.

“Angelina idolized Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set.

“There were rumours then that she was tempted by him, because it was around then she told a magazine fidelity wasn’t ‘absolutely essential.’

“With both Brad and Johnny’s then wife Vanessa Paradis on set, nothing was going to happen.

“But the two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny’s break up with Amber.

“There’s no suggestion that their closeness played any part in Angelina and Brad’s split.

“But they have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny’s lawyer to represent her based on the advice that he has given her.

“Her friends are now speculating about what could happen between them if she and Brad are not reconciled and their divorce goes through.”

Angelina Jolie shocked the world last week when she filed a divorce from Brad Pitt, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce marks the end of one of the most celebrated celebrity couples in Hollywood. Jolie asked for physical custody of her six children.

The circumstances surrounding the split turned ugly when Pitt was charged with child abuse following an alleged physical altercation between him and son Maddox on a private jet.

To make matters worse, Angelina was reportedly convinced that he’s having an affair with his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard.

To debunk his wife’s suspicions, Pitt reportedly took a polygraph test to serve as proof that he had stayed faithful to her, as reported by UK Daily Star.

“Angie hated all the female attention Brad would get,” a source close to the power couple said. “She is very jealous and insecure, despite being one of the most beautiful women in the world.”

“They had a number of arguments about his closeness to Marion.

“Brad did all he could to reassure her there was nothing going on and even offered to take a polygraph test to prove he was telling the truth.’

“Sadly for him she refused.”

Cotillard, 40, denied the rumors that she is having an affair with Brad on Instagram. Along with her denial is the announcement that she is expecting her second child with her partner, French writer and actor Guillaume Canet.

Pitt is now being investigated by the FBI following reports of alleged child abuse. Brad has expressed confidence that he will be cleared of all allegations hurled against him.

Pitt is reportedly desperate to see his children and is cooperating with the FBI so he can clear his name.

“He knows the severity of the allegations and wants to be cleared of abuse before he sees them,” a source told Us Weekly.
