Baseball fans can watch Vin Scully’s final home game live online and follow as the Los Angeles Dodgers legend says goodbye to Dodger Stadium.

Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies will start at 4:10 p.m. ET (1:10 p.m. PT). The game will be broadcast on SportsNet LA locally, but also available to watch free live online across the country (a link to the streaming video can be found below).

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been celebrating Scully’s career throughout their final homestand, including “Vin Scully Appreciation Day” on Friday where the first 50,000 fans got a letter of appreciation written by Scully himself.

In the letter, Scully remembered being a “little redhead boy” walking home from school when he stopped to listen to a radio broadcast of the World Series game between the New York Yankees and New York Giants — one the Giants would lose 18-4. The year was 1936, and Scully said he became a Giants fan that day out of pity for the team.

“God has been very generous to that little boy, allowing him to fulfill a dream of becoming a broadcaster and to live it for 67 years. Since 1958, you and I have grown up together through the good times and the bad. The transistor radio is what bound us together.”

To bring things around full circle, Scully’s final broadcast will come on October 2, 2016, a game between the Dodgers and Giants that takes place 80 years to the day since he first fell in love with the game.

Scully’s career with the Dodgers stretches back 67 years, starting with the team in 1950 and back in the original home in Brooklyn. He moved with the team to Los Angeles in 1958, and in that time saw the triumph of six World Series championships and some tragedy as well. In 1993, Dodgers legend and broadcast partner Don Drysdale died of a heart attack in his hotel room before a game against the Montreal Expos. Scully knew about his partner’s death but could say nothing on the air until Drysdale’s family was notified.

Members of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization — many of whom were not even born when Scully’s tenure with the team began — have praised his contributions not only to the Dodgers but to baseball itself.

“No tribute we could conjure could do justice to the gifts Vin has presented the Dodgers during the course of his unmatched career,” said Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen (via the MLB website). “However, we believe we have created a weekend that will wholeheartedly honor Vin and enable fans to demonstrate their appreciation for a man who has meant so much to baseball and to all of us.

“Vin’s putting poetry to baseball has connected him to our fans for nearly seven decades, his legacy will carry on for decades longer and will make him part of Dodger baseball forever.”

Fans who watch Vin Scully’s final home game live online will see the cap to what has been a very emotional weekend for Los Angeles Dodgers fans. The legendary announcer gave a farewell address of sorts on Friday, saying goodbye to his home fans. The full speech can be seen below.

Scully himself has remained humble throughout all the tributes and accolades, befitting to the reputation he has garnered across his 67 years of broadcasting.
