Nicki Minaj Slams Mariah Carey, Says She’s Insecure And A Liar

Nicki Minaj is firing back (figuratively) at Mariah Carey after the latter went public with concerns over her safety following the highly-publicized dust-up between the judges on the set of American Idol.

Even though just about everyone has been coyly denying it for months, a recently leaked video proved what we’ve all suspected: Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are engaged in a brutal diva feud. Arguing over a contestant during auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina, Minaj completely lost control of herself, rattling off a profanity-laden tirade against the more passive-aggressive Carey. Minaj ended the melee by walking off set but not before reportedly saying “If I had a gun, I would shoot her.”

Though Idol’s producers have downplayed the feud with Keith Urban and Ryan Seacrest also saying that the new judges panel generally gets along, Carey related to Barbara Walters that she feared violence from Minaj and had beefed up her security some because “Nicki is unpredictable.”

Minaj has taken to Twitter to defend herself, putting up several posts addressing her fans personally. She says that the media is over-hyping the incident and that they’re only attacking Minaj because of stereotypes.

“Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper… I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it… Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho… Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz…”

Minaj also said that Carey is just jealous because the producers favor her more:

“I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave. I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”

Minaj also considers it a low-blow that Carey chose to talk to Walters about the incident after it was supposedly settled:

“Tried to keep quiet but let’s go!!!! I thought we resolved it yesterday but I see u want ur pity party to continue… All I do is compliment u. That’s not enuff? Ur a legend, cheer up. U don’t have to run down ur resume or feel intimidated.”

I’m beginning to think that this is just a huge hoax to drum up American Idol’s flagging ratings.
