Miley Cyrus Wants Everyone, Including Corey Feldman, To Just Be Themselves

Crazy is good, according to Miley Cyrus. The singer and actress has made it clear that she’s not changing for anyone. Miley has not changed or settled down when she rekindled her relationship with former fiance Liam Hemsworth. She also did not change her image or wild style for NBC’s The Voice.

In a new interview, Miley Cyrus has made it a point as to how important it is to just be yourself. Not only is Cyrus on The Voice, but she recently starred in Woody Allen’s comedy series, Crisis In Six Scenes. Somehow, Cyrus is very much herself on both of the shows. The 24-year-old told Stuff that she doesn’t care if people find her “crazy.” In fact, she agrees.

“The way that I feel confident is actually less focused on being pretty and more focused on being funny, which also makes me feel good. I feel like I am never really defined so you can’t label me by saying I am confident or insecure or crazy or any of those things. Some days I feel prettier than others and some days I feel insecure but then I put on a crazy outfit and feel much better. I’m actually much better at acting crazy than being crazy.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer also revealed why she wanted to join coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton along with fellow newcomer Alicia Keys.

“I love that this show may be silly at times but it’s not an evil competition and it’s not about putting people down. It’s about lifting up the artist and they are also letting me promote my activism, which is great too.”

Cyrus has no intention of putting down anyone. Just days after Corey Feldman’s buzzworthy performance on the Today Show, Cyrus was one of the latest celebrities who took to social media to defend the actor. On Thursday, Sept. 22, Cyrus took to her infamous Instagram page to share her support, according to a report via Us Weekly.

“Corey – I hope you see this … Haters gonna hate! Lovers always gonna Love!” she captioned the post. “Thank you and your angels for sharing your music with us! Please enjoy life and continue to make art! You’re absolutely right to ignore (even though it can be hard) the hurtful comments made by uninspired people!!!! F*** judgement! You have more courage than any one of those hating motherf*****!!!! Good luck to you and always dream big! I know that’s what always keeps me smiling.”

Cyrus’ Instagram post read, “We put ourselves out there and we did the best we could.” The former Disney star quoted Feldman’s emotional Facebook post following his much-buzzed about Today Show performance. On Friday, Sept. 16, he delivered a bizarre performance of his new single “Go 4 It” on the morning show.

Many of Feldman’s music peers have since reached out to him to congratulate him on his performance. In addition to Cyrus, Pink and Kesha have also showed their support on social media. Feldman even got a shout-out from his fellow Stand By Me costar Jerry O’Connell.

“Proud of you @Corey_Feldman,” O’Connell tweeted on Friday, Sept. 16, shortly after Feldman’s performance went live on the morning show.
