Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Wedding Postponed: What’s The Hold Up?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may have to put their wedding on hold. It was previously reported that the couple postponed their plans to get married in French Polynesia. However, the former Disney star and her Australian fiance may hold off their wedding plans because his brother, Chris Hemsworth, doesn’t approve of their relationship.

According to a new report via OK! Magazine, as cited by Ace Show Biz, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may have to postpone their wedding plans because his older brother hasn’t still approved off their rekindled relationship. Chris Hemsworth believes that Miley Cyrus is too wild for his little brother. He’s afraid that Cyrus may be a bad influence on his and his wife, Elsa Pataky’s, three young children.

The Thor star is apparently concerned by Miley’s outrageous outfits, which are sometimes inappropriate in style, and her constant cursing.

“Chris doesn’t love Miley’s potty mouth,” an alleged insider told the magazine. “But he doesn’t want to drive his brother away.”

While waiting for Chris Hemsworth to give their relationship his blessing, Miley and Liam may have to push back their wedding, which was reportedly scheduled for this fall. The couple had originally wanted a summer wedding in Australia, but they postponed it and canceled their honeymoon in Bora Bora because Miley was “still very erratic with her decision-making,” an inside source told Us Weekly.

It was originally rumored that Cyrus wanted a psychedelic wedding like a Flaming Lips concert, in a previous report via Hollywood Life.

“Miley wants her wedding to be like a Flaming Lips concert, it other words fun, crazy and colorful. She wants a psychedelic wedding that will be forever be embedded in her head! Flaming Lip concerts are known for being really outrageous and anything goes. The more bizarre, the better, and that’s exactly the kind of dreaming wedding Miley has in mind. It will for sure be a destination wedding that will last at minimum three days.”

Now, it seems like Cyrus, 23, and Hemsworth, 26, have agreed to have a “traditional” wedding with their friends and family members, according to a new report via Hollywood Life. It seems like the beloved couple wants to do it right, which is why they keep changing their mind on the wedding plans.

“As unique as Miley is in her style and how she treats life, she does want to steer toward a traditional wedding. She wants the flowing white dress, she wants the ceremony to be big and very family oriented and she also wants to go through all the traditional wedding happenings that people are familiar with, since she knows that will make Liam very happy.”

As for when the couple will finally tie the knot, the inside source told Hollywood Life said it won’t happen anytime soon.

“As much as they both want it to happen soon, this year doesn’t appear to be the time for it to happen,” the insider confirmed.

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been focused on their respective acting careers. Now, it looks like the two want to collaborate on their own special project. Sources told Us Weekly on Sept. 15 that Cyrus and Hemsworth “have been writing a script for a play together.”

“It’s a dramatic love story. Miley is always writing, drawing and making music. Liam helps out. They’re so creative.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth dated after they met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. The couple then got engaged in 2012 and then shocked fans when they broke up in 2013. Cyrus and Hemsworth reignited their relationship in December of 2015, well over two years after calling off their engagement. Since then, Cyrus has been spotted wearing the same engagement ring on her finger, but the couple has kept quiet about their relationship. The two only share sweet moments from their relationship on social media.
