NOPD Officer Accused Of Raping Teenage Male Relative: Arrested And Placed On Emergency Administrative Suspension

An NOPD officer has been arrested and placed on emergency administrative suspension after being accused of raping a teenage male relative.

Nola reports that Officer Marcellus White, a 19-year NOPD veteran, has been accused of luring a 15-year-old male relative into his bedroom and performing oral sex on him. The rape against the boy allegedly occurred in late March or beginning of April when the boy was only 14-years-old. The boy and his mother has since moved to Mississippi.

Officer White was trying to bargain with the boy’s mother by email, begging her to not only forgive him, but to drop the demand that he step down from all positions where he may have any contact with minor children.

“Words cannot explain how I am sorry for the pain I have caused the family and the trust I have violated. In closing, your asking me to step down from ‘all’ positions that would put me in contact with minor children… Doing that would put further financial stress on me, due to having no other source of income other than my job.”

During White’s hearing in the New Orleans Magistrate Court, he was set a bond of $350,000. While White was represented by Thomas Frampton, a public defender, he told the judge that he planned on hiring attorney Donovan Livaccari.

During the hearing, Frampton argued White’s case, asking for a lower bond.

“These allegations are inconsistent with anything known about Mr. White’s history or career.”

On top of the arrest warrant citing the emails exchanged between White and the boy’s mother, it also cited a phone call made by the boy’s mother to White demanding the truth, whereas White allegedly responded, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

The boy has been set up to interview with forensics in Mississippi at a child advocacy center. So far, the boy has alleged that he was at White’s residence with his two brothers in late March or early April. He said that he was asleep in a bedroom when White woke him up and told him to get a shower.

When the boy was done with his shower, White allegedly approached him. The boy claims he told White, “Na, I ain’t with that,” but White yanked his shorts down, pushed him onto a bed in the room connected to the bathroom, and began performing sexual acts on him.

The boy told interviewers that he asked White what he was doing and White responded, “Relax, I know what I’m doing.”

A former officer in London has recently been accused of raping women. PC Michael Graham was arrested and ordered to jail for 16 years after one of his victim’s secretly recorded two of his attacks.

The voice recordings on the woman’s IPhone reveals Graham brutally raping the woman and making threats against her life on two different occasions.

“I am going to beat you to death in a minute, I can see it coming.”

Graham told his victims, “I am a police officer. I can do what I want.”

The man was charged with seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. He was ordered 16 years in jail for the devious acts against his victims.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the first case of rape against a NOPD officer. Nearly a year ago, Officer Michael Thomassie was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of raping a 7-year-old girl.

The allegations came from 2003 when his then girlfriend’s daughter would have been just 7-years-old. The crime was not reported until nearly a decade after the sexual attack, mainly because the mother relied on the officer to financially support them, as she was a substance abuser.

The victim, now 19, testified that her “step-father” raped her when she was only in second grade on two different occasions in two different rooms of their home.

The case against Officer White is ongoing, and this story will be updated as more information becomes available. We can only hope that justice will be served and the victim and his family can heal after this terrible circumstance.
