Bethenny Frankel Wants Money From Luann de Lesseps: ‘RHONY’ Drama Growing?

Bethenny Frankel was surprised to learn that Luann de Lesseps simply didn’t care that her future husband, Thomas D’Agostino, had been caught cheating on her just days before their engagement party on The Real Housewives of New York. Before bringing up the betrayal, Bethenny just wanted to make sure that Luann was indeed in a monogamous relationship with Thomas as she had mentioned her open marriage with the Count once before. But Luann was quite upset with the comment as she argued that she was engaged, and of course, both she and D’Agostino were faithful to one another.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel revealed that she hasn’t spoken to Luann since the Real Housewives of New York reunion. During the reunion, de Lesseps essentially attacked Bethenny for bringing up the cheating story and sharing the pictures on the show, even though she wanted to protect her friend.

She decided to call out Frankel for supposedly dating a married man, even though that wasn’t the case at all. She looked desperate in her efforts to bring down Bethenny, and it, sadly, wasn’t a good look. These days, the ladies aren’t speaking at all, and Frankel has been banned from Luann’s New Year’s Eve wedding in Palm Beach, Florida.

“No, I haven’t strangled her and I haven’t spoken to her, so she’s still alive and I hope she is happily engaged. And no I haven’t spoken to her,” Bethenny Frankel told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview, according to Bravo, sharing that she doesn’t hold a grudge. “I’m not really upset with her because I wasn’t really that surprised by her bad behavior.”

It’s no secret that Frankel and Luann haven’t been the best of friends while filming The Real Housewives of New York together. Bethenny once called her co-star a snake, and de Lesseps has questioned Frankel’s stories about her relationship. Sadly, it just seems like Bethenny Frankel shares what she sees while filming, whereas de Lesseps is in complete denial and starts fighting back with whatever she feels will stick. But Bethenny doesn’t care too much about her co-star’s opinion as they aren’t great friends.

“The truth is not Luann’s very good friend. So, I’m not really that surprised. I’m not angry. There have been people that I’ve been on the show with before that I was very angry at and was just like, ‘I can never speak to them again’ and I don’t feel like that with Luann because I just don’t expect that much from her,” Bethenny Frankel explains without naming names, sharing that she was more hurt by people close to her than Luann’s behavior once she found out that Thomas was cheating on her.

As it turns out, de Lesseps is the one who will be marrying a man who can’t really stick with one woman. Only a few of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars are invited to the wedding, and Frankel isn’t one of them. In fact, she was banned. But Bethenny is now revealing that she would go to the wedding, but de Lesseps would have to pay for her presence. It would be seen as a business deal rather than one woman supporting another.

“I would go to Luann’s for a very steep appearance fee,” Bethenny Frankel explained about the wedding, sharing that she wants money if she’s making an appearance. Frankel added that she would also love to have some product placements there as well, telling PEOPLE, “I would gladly sponsor the wedding with alcohol. And I will gladly take – now because I’m sponsoring the wedding – a discounted appearance fee.”

Of course, this is probably meant as a joke. Frankel has previously revealed that she would much rather spend the night with people she loves.
