Cleveland Browns: Five Bold Predictions For NFL Week 3 Vs. Dolphins

The Cleveland Browns have not started the 2016 NFL season in the fashion they were hoping. Hue Jackson was hoping they would shock the league and make a run to the postseason, but that doesn’t appear likely to happen.

Robert Griffin III came into the season as the starting quarterback with a lot of hype surrounding him. Unfortunately for the Browns, he didn’t even last a full game. Griffin went down with a shoulder injury, and Sports Illustrated has reported that the injury could keep him out for the remainder of the season.

Cody Kessler appears to be the Browns’ starting quarterback heading into this week’s game as Josh McCown went down with an injury last week as well. We have previously mentioned the idea that the Browns could end up signing veteran quarterback Michael Vick here at the Inquisitr.

No matter what the Browns decide to do, they don’t appear to be serious playoff contenders at this time. That makes them very likely to suffer through yet another season that ends in a major disappointment.

All of that being said, what five bold predictions can be made for their game vs. the Miami Dolphins in NFL Week 3 action?

Corey Coleman will put up big numbers in Week 3.

Cody Kessler Will Impress in His NFL Debut

Even though many are expecting the Browns’ offense to falter this week with Cody Kessler starting at quarterback, he will impress the fans and the media. He has a very solid arm and a great head on his shoulders. Kessler may not put up huge numbers, but he will put together a solid all-around game.

Terrelle Pryor Will Step Up for the Browns

If Kessler is going to put up solid numbers, he will need his No. 1 wide receiver to come through in a big way. That receiver would have been Corey Coleman, but a broken hand will put an end to that for this week. Terrelle Pryor will step up in a big way for the rookie quarterback and will prove himself to be a more than capable playmaking wide receiver.

Isaiah Crowell Will Live Up to the Hype

Coming off of 18 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown last week against Baltimore, Isaiah Crowell has a lot of hype surrounding him. He is going to be given more carries and will put up numbers once again this week. Crowell might not have as big of a game as he had last week, but don’t be shocked if he racks up at least 80 yards and a touchdown against a porous Dolphins’ defense.

Cleveland’s Defense Will Force at Least Three Turnovers

Ryan Tannehill and the Miami offense has not been consistent. They have had turnover issues in the past, and the Browns’ defense will find a way to force at least three turnovers. Cleveland has to figure out a way to step up their defense this week if they want to get their first win of the 2016 season, which is exactly what they will do.

The Cleveland Browns Will Pull Out a Hard-Fought Win Over Miami

Cleveland is going to find a way to record their first win of the season this week. Miami simply doesn’t have the consistency to knock them off, even with the Browns’ quarterback problems. It will be a good game that comes down to the wire, but the Browns will figure out a way to pull out a big victory.

Expect to see these two desperate teams leave everything they have on the field. Cleveland isn’t going to win in blowout fashion, but a win is a win no matter what the final score ends up being.
