Duchess Watch: All Eyes On Kate Middleton And The Designer Pieces She’s Sure To Don On Her Canadian Tour

Kate Middleton is known for her sense of style, and in her day-to-day life, she is praised for her designer choices and the tasteful attire she wears. From Reiss to Burberry to her beautiful gowns by designer Jenny Peckham, Kate knows how to dress for an occasion and how to make an entrance.

With the young royal family’s trip to Canada fast-approaching, royal watchers are back at it again, speculating about what Kate might choose to wear over the course of the first full family overseas trip for the Duchess, Prince William, and their two children.

In her preparations for the couple’s spring tour of Bhutan, there were reports that Kate sent her fashion team ahead of her to research the style and culture. The team then reported back to the Duchess about the nation’s top designers and appropriate textiles used in garments. Middleton had pieces made for her that she could wear during the tour as a way to be a part of the culture and show respect for her hosts. The selections made for that royal adventure were spot on, and the Duchess looked divine.

The trip to Canada seems as though it will be much more casual and is focused on little Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Many of the activities for the royals will be outside and active, which means we will likely see Kate in a number of casual outfits. Perhaps she will opt for Canadian brands, which are go-to’s when taking on the Canadian terrain. Will Kate dress in Canada Goose on her trek up North? If she’s heading to the territories such as the Yukon, she may need something from the brand at this time of year. While in Victoria, a Canada Goose jacket may keep her a little too toasty as the southern provinces are still enjoying milder climates.

However, there will be a few occasions that will require Middleton to be at her usual, stylish best. Back in 2011, when she and William visited Canada, Kate was sure to do her homework ahead of time and donned the gorgeous work of Canadian-born, British designer Erdem. Will she opt for a piece by this notable designer once more? Perhaps the Duchess will turn to the well-known Canadian brand, Pink Tartan, for some stand-out ensembles. The Mirror shares more speculation about the designs Kate might select from the designer.

“Designed by Kimberley Newport-Minran, the Canadian fashion label is renowned for mixing ladylike ruffles and prints with streamlined practicality. Graceful, understated and elegant, we think Kate would love a simple fit-and-flare dress. Perfect for attending a children’s party in the grounds of Government House on the 29th.”

Kate is also a fan of the Canadian brand Smythe, which she has worn on a number of occasions, usually opting for their blazers. Kate wore one of the blazers by the brand during her 2011 tour and again at the Olympic Games. She will likely select a new piece from the label for her Canadian adventures this time around.

As for footwear, the Duchess will likely lean on her go-to faves from Manolo Blahnik and LK Bennett. The beauty has been known to rock the Jimmy Choos for the ultra-fancy occasions, yet with the little ones in tow, Kate may select more sensible and sturdy footwear. She will still look breathtaking, no doubt.

The family arrives in western Canada on September 24, and the citizens of the nation are entirely enthused about the beloved family visiting with the whole family. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family are ready and excited to welcome and host the royals.
