Brad Pitt And Marion Cotillard Affair Led To Angelina Jolie Divorce? Jealousy Caused Tension On ‘Allied’ Set

Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard allegedly engaged in an affair on the set of Allied.

Although the reports regarding the couple’s rumored relationship have yet to be confirmed by either party involved, a new report claims Pitt’s wife, Angelina Jolie, who filed for divorce on Monday after two years of marriage and six kids, was overwhelmed by jealousy and completely ignored Marion Cotillard while visiting the set of the World War II film.

On September 20, the Daily Mail shared details about Jolie’s time behind-the-scenes with her husband, claiming Jolie ignored Marion Cotillard completely due to her extreme jealousy over their chemistry.

“Angelina completely ignored [Marion Cotillard] on the set, and when Marion tried to talk to her she just looked the other way,” the source explained. “Marion was devastated, here she is thinking she is going to meet this great UN ambassador and instead Angelina refuses to speak to the woman because of her own jealousy.”

Despite the ongoing rumors, the Daily Mail claimed that Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard were not actually involved in an on-set affair and noted that Pitt’s main concern was for his children.

“He does not want them reading anything negative in the press about himself or their mother,” said the source. “He’s not going to get dirty.”

In regard to why Jolie was jealous of their interaction on the set of Allied, the source explained, “Because of the way woman view her she projects her own stuff onto innocent women like Marion.”

The source also said Marion Cotillard was “one of the sweetest women in the world,” and confirmed that she is still happily dating partner Guillaume Canet. As the source revealed, the 40-year-old actress has been involved in a romance with actor and writer Guillaume Canet, 43, since 2007, and the couple shares a five-year-old son, Marcel Canet.

Over the summer, when the first look at the Allied trailer was revealed by People Magazine, producer Graham King confirmed Brad Pitt and Marion had spent time with one another off-set before production began and noted their on-screen chemistry was “electric.”

“Brad and [Marion Cotillard] immediately had the utmost respect for each other, so once they delved into their characters, their chemistry was electric,” King explained to the magazine.

“It was crucial for Brad and [Marion Cotillard] to not only begin rehearsing together before the shoot, but they also spent a lot of time developing their characters with the director, Robert Zemeckis,” King continued of the moments leading up to filming. “By the time we got to set, it was really amazing to see these characters already feel lived in and real.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie admittedly fell in love on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith when he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. One year later, Jolie revealed she was expecting her first child with Pitt. Throughout the 11 years they spent together, Pitt and Jolie welcomed a total of six kids, three of whom were adopted and three biological children.

As the rumors regarding Marion Cotillard’s possible involvement in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce continue, she and her partner, Guillaume Canet, have remained silent. That said, the couple was seen together just days ago in France with a few of their friends. As the Lainey Gossip revealed on September 20, Cotillard and Canet are going strong and not letting the rumors of her romance with Pitt get in the way of their family’s happiness.
