Taylor Swift Isn’t Sorry: She Won’t Collaborate With Katy Perry

Taylor Swift is not ready to say sorry to frenemy Katy Perry anytime soon. Oh, no! She is not interested in a collaboration with her fellow pop star.

Katy Perry told a fan that she would be willing to collaborate with Taylor Swift. But, first, Swift would have to apologize to her first. Swift, 26, has no interest in apologizing or working with the “Rise” singer, according to Hollywood Life. Swift believes that she would be lowering her standards to work with her arch enemy.

“Why would Taylor want to collaborate with someone whose latest single, ‘Rise,’ didn’t even break the top 10?” an alleged insider told the celebrity gossip blog. “Taylor is a ten time Grammy winner. Katy has zero Grammys.”

Ouch! Fans went into a meltdown when Perry, 31, coolly revealed on Twitter that she would be up to make music with Swift, but “if [Taylor] says sorry.” The statement was shocking since the two singers don’t have a great history with each other. Swift and Perry were good friends until their feud went public in 2014 and has lasted ever since.

Speculation swirled that the two were already feuding when Swift revealed the meaning behind her scathing track “Bad Blood” in her 2014 cover story with Rolling Stone. She hinted that it was about a falling out with a “friend” in the music industry who tried to “sabotage” her and her world tour. Although Swift’s never publicly confirmed that Perry is behind the track, the “Dark Horse” singer tweeted the mysterious message warning fans about the “Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

In addition, Calvin Harris, 32, confirmed that Swift tried to “bury” Perry in the past through the media, and that he doesn’t want to go through the same thing.

Both Katy and Taylor are expected to put out new music soon. Katy’s management has said that she’s planning for a 2017 comeback with a new album and accompanying world tour. Taylor has been hard at work on her next album, according to her best friend Gigi Hadid. If Katy was really hoping for a collaboration with Taylor, then it doesn’t look like she’ll get a collaboration or an apology anytime soon.

Since Katy Perry and Taylor Swift can’t agree on a collaboration, they finally have reached a common ground on something else, reports JustJared.com. Aspiring singer Grace Vanderwaal won America’s Got Talent last week. Shortly after the news broke, Perry took to Twitter to congratulate the 12-year-old star.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, upstaged Perry by sending Grace a bouquet of flowers. Grace has been compared to Taylor by judge Simon Cowell shortly after her audition. So, Taylor must have caught wind of her win and decided to send the sweet gift as a token of her appreciation. Grace showed off the beautiful bouquet on Twitter.

“Words can not explain how honored I am for this.. thank. You. SOOOOOO MUCH!!!! @taylorswift13 [SIC],” she captioned in the below video.
