Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Are ‘Happier Than You Can Imagine’ As Wedding Rumors Swirl

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are going strong, and producer Mark Burnett confirmed it last night.

During a chat with press backstage after his show, The Voice, took home the Emmy Award for Best Reality Competition, Burnett spoke out about the former co-stars’ hard times and the love that came out of their struggles.

“People go through peaks and valleys, lights and dark times in their lives,” Burnett said, according to a report by Fox News on September 18. “In the case of [Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton], both have had some dark times emotionally in their relationships. They had no idea by coming to work on a fun music show that they would find the loves of their life. They are happier than you can imagine and we are all thrilled to be their friends and see the happiness.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went through divorces last summer as production on The Voice Season 9 began. In mid-July, after four years of marriage, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton confirmed they were ending their marriage, and weeks later, after 13 years of marriage and three kids together, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale revealed they too were splitting up.

In the weeks that followed their splits, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton grew close to one another and leaned on each other for support. Then, months later, their romance was confirmed with a joint outing in Nashville, Tennessee. At the time, Shelton was in town to attend the Country Music Awards, which were also attended by his ex-wife, and Stefani joined him after the show for an after-party nearby.

After confirming their relationship, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance took center stage on The Voice and fans loved to see the new couple engaging in flirty behavior.

Although Gwen Stefani didn’t return to The Voice in her coaching role for Season 10 earlier this year, she did appear briefly on the series as a mentor, and also joined Shelton on stage for their first performance of their hit duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which was written at the end of last year when their romance first began.

As The Voice Season 11 continues to film in Los Angeles, Shelton is once again without girlfriend Gwen Stefani, but if fans are lucky, she may pop up sometime during the series.

As for what’s happening next for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, a source spoke to People Magazine in early August and claimed the couple was already planning to get married.

“Rumors are circulating in their circle that they’ve begun preparations for a wedding,” said the source. “There’s no date set, but they’re planning ahead and having fun talking about it… Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, but Gwen is touring and busy. The time just hasn’t been right.”

“[Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton] are madly in love, committed and planning for a future together.”

Although Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton hadn’t set a date at the time the People Magazine report was shared, a second publication weeks later revealed a wedding could take place by the end of this year.

“They want to get married before the end of the year,” a source revealed to Us Weekly earlier this month.

“Gwen has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings,” another source previously told the magazine. “It would likely be at Blake’s ranch [in Oklahoma] or in the backyard. Gwen doesn’t really care, she is just in love with Blake and their life together.”
