Miley Cyrus Complains About Blake Shelton And Adam Levine, Uses Dolly Parton To Woo ‘The Voice’ Contestant

Miley Cyrus has revealed that she and the other newest member of The Voice coaching panel, Alicia Keys, find Blake Shelton and Adam Levine’s behavior so obnoxious and irritating that they’ve decided to team up to take the boys down.

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have been competing for The Voice contestants ever since the reality singing competition’s first season, and viewers have grown accustomed to their bickering; at this point, the country singer and the Maroon 5 frontman are like an old married couple. During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus revealed that she originally thought that Blake and Adam just put on an odd couple act to entertain fans of the show. However, she has come to realize that their bromantic bickering doesn’t stop when the cameras stop rolling. According to Miley, fans of The Voice only see a very small percentage of their nonstop squabbling.

“How much we hear is way too much,” Miley told Jimmy Fallon. “It never stops. Even when the cameras are off, that is real. I always thought that was a little thing they do on camera, but no. It’s all day.”

Miley Cyrus may regret complaining about Blake Shelton’s behavior after she hears all the nice things he’s said about her. As Buddy TV reports, Blake called Miley “a lot of fun to be around” in a Voice teaser video about his first impression of the new coach.

“Miley Cyrus is a big personality. She’s unpredictable and I thought I was gonna like her and now I know I do,” Blake said of his costar.

Blake is also clearly a fan of Miley’s sense of style.

Miley doesn’t want fans to view The Voice as a “girls vs. boys show,” but she and Alicia just naturally found themselves joining forces to beat Adam and Blake. Perhaps Miley would prefer that fans look at the rivalry as a showdown between the old guard and the new blood rather than a battle of the sexes.

During Cyrus’ appearance on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon shared a sneak peek of an upcoming episode of The Voice starring Cyrus’ secret weapon, country music legend Dolly Parton. In the clip below, you can watch Miley use her beloved godmother to tempt a “rock ‘n’ roll Dolly Parton” to join her team.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, The Voice sneak preview that aired on NBC last month also showed Miley using her love for Dolly to reel in a contestant. Miley won over Darby Walker by joining the talented young singer for a duet of one of Dolly’s most popular songs, “Jolene.” Blake Shelton usually has an edge over the other Voice coaches when it comes to wooing country singers, but Miley may give him a run for his money this season. After all, she’s not just Dolly Parton’s goddaughter; she’s also the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus.

Unfortunately for Miley, contacting Dolly and asking for her help isn’t always easy. During her recent appearance on TODAY, Miley revealed that she and her godmother use an old school method of communication to stay in touch that takes a lot more time than sending a text message.

“She only faxes,” Cyrus said. “Her and I can only fax together. She doesn’t text!”

During her TODAY interview, Miley also talked about appearing on The Voice. She said that her team is composed of the most diverse group of singers, and she revealed that she views The Voice as a form of philanthropy. The former Hannah Montana star also made a surprising confession about being on TV.

“I don’t love being on camera,” Miley admitted. “I really, actually don’t…. I stick my tongue out because it’s a nervous habit; don’t look at me, look at my tongue. And it worked! It worked for like five years.”

You can watch Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys face off against Blake Shelton and Adam Levine when The Voice Season 11 premieres Monday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
