Report: Laimbeer Joins T-Wolves As Assistant Coach

Minneapolis, MN (AHN) – Bill Laimbeer, who won three titles as chead oach of the Detroit Shock, will debut courtside in the NBA this coming season, joining former nemesis and new Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis as an assistant.
In a report by the Minneapolis Star Tribune over the weekend, the 52-year-old tactician reportedly was named as an assistant coach to Rambis, the former Los Angeles Lakers forward and Phil Jackson’s deputy in the bench.
Laimbeer won two championships as a player of the Detroit Pistons and has earned his share of accolades in the Shock sidelines.
He has never had any coaching experience in the pros and will work under Rambis’ watch. The two slugged it out decades ago in the famed Pistons-Lakers rivalry.
Laimbeer coached the Shock for seven seasons before a surprise resignation cut short his stint in June.
