Harry Styles Desperate To Make Kendall Jenner Relationship Work This Time, Competing With Zayn Malik?

Now is reporting that Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner are back together and ready to go public with their romance.

Kendall and Harry were spotted on a date at Ysabel’s restaurant at the beginning of the month, according to the report. Harry’s friend and manager Jeff Azoff was also present, but after the meal Kendall and Harry headed off to Mel’s drive-in diner alone, where they upped the PDA.

Harry and Kendall sat opposite each other in the booth, but observers noted that Kendall Jenner stretched her long legs across the divide and nestled her feet in Harry Styles’ lap. The celebrities stayed for an hour, enjoying a late night snack.

An insider told Now that Harry Styles is desperate to make it work with Kendall this time.

“Harry and Kendall were being really cute with each other… They were sitting opposite each other in a booth and she had her feet in his lap. Harry ordered a patty melt and Kendall had a banana milkshake. They sat in the secluded section of the restaurant and stayed for an hour.”

Kendall Jenner was spotted driving out of Harry Styles’ underground carpark at his LA home at 1:30 a.m. on Labor Day, reports Now. Kendall has apparently been spending a lot of time at Harry’s LA home, and the report even claims that Kendall’s whole recent dating life has revolved around securing Harry Styles as her boyfriend. Apparently, the only reason Kendall dated Jordan Clarkson or A$AP Rocky was because she wanted to make Harry jealous, and it worked!

“Kendall does NOT chase boys… It’s her personal rule, but all she had to do was go on a few dates with A$AP and an LA Laker and – bam! Harry started calling her non-stop, begging her for dinner.”

Harry and Kendall dated in 2013 and later in 2016, after Kendall’s friend Cara Delevingne reportedly set them up. Styles and Jenner made headlines when they were spotted on a yacht over New Years accompanied by Kendall’s mom Kris Jenner, Harry’s mom Anne Twist, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia Di Rossi and some members of the Azoff family. Justin Bieber was also in the vicinity around St Bart’s at the time, holidaying with his then-girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, and media outlets speculated that Bieber and Baldwin may have joined Harry and Kendall’s group. With so many big names around and on board the Azoff yacht, it was predictable that a media storm ensued and pictures of Harry and Kendall were splashed around the world.

Harry is said to be hoping that his relationship with Kendall gets him even more publicity this time. A source told Now that Styles is aware that Kendall Jenner will help to boost his profile and nascent film career. Harry is definitely right about that, judging by how ecstatically media outlets jumped on the Harry and Kendall story last time they were together.

“Harry and Kendall are going to be dominating headlines if they’re able to make it as a couple. It really is a dream team.”

Harry Styles has spent most of the One Direction hiatus filming for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, his first feature film, at various locations around Europe. Styles was cast in the role after he impressed Nolan and the casting directors at readings, and decision-maker John Papsidera insisted that Harry was not chosen because of his celebrity. If anything, Styles’ boyband roots discouraged the Dunkirk casters, but in the end they decided to give the role to Harry because he was just that good, according to Mirror.

“It wasn’t because he’s a well known pop star – if anything that was more of a detriment, because it could bring the wrong message and we don’t want people pulled out of the film because of who they are…So Harry really had to overcome hurdles to get past that. He fought hard for it and his work was impressive and that’s what attracted us to him.”

Harry could indeed be hoping that the union with Kendall Jenner helps his career, and he is also rumored to be motivated by his long-standing rivalry with ex-One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik.

Zayn explosively left the band in 2015, and has gone on to have great solo success with his album Mind of Mine. Outlets reported that Harry Styles was especially hurt when Zayn left because Harry had always been Zayn’s biggest supporter in the band.

When Harry Styles signed his own solo deal in recent months, there were reports that music executives considered Zayn’s success as they decided how big a check to write for Harry.

The careers of the former One Direction brothers are still being linked to this day — Now suggests that Harry has been motivated to pursue Kendall because he feels “left in the shade” by Zayn Malik.

“[Harry] knows he’s been left in the shade by Zayn Malik and he needs to start promoting himself ahead of his movie release. Dating THE hottest supermodel in the world is epic for his publicity team.”

Zayn Malik is dating Gigi Hadid, a friend of Kendall Jenner’s and a fellow supermodel.
