Gwen Stefani Joins Blake Shelton On Stage Amid ‘Backyard’ Wedding Rumors

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are reportedly planning a wedding for later this year, and as their alleged preparations continue, they’ve remained close and recently reunited on stage.

On Thursday night, as reported by Journal Star on September 16, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton treated the audience to an impromptu performance of their hit duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” during a nearly-sold-out show at the Peoria Civic Center.

“Gwen Stefani — pop star, lead singer of No Doubt and Shelton’s girlfriend of almost a year — took the stage toward the end of the concert to huge applause,” the outlet revealed to readers. “Stefani and Shelton performed their duet, ‘Go Ahead and Break My Heart,’ before launching into her chart-topping smash hit ‘Hollaback Girl’ to the delight of the crowd.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been busy performing shows in recent weeks, but during their performances, they’ve been frequently joined and supported by one another. Stefani kicked off her tour earlier this summer, and during several of her “This is What the Truth Feels Like” shows, Shelton has joined her on stage for performances of “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” and tweeted backstage from her events.

As Gwen Stefani continues to tour the country, Shelton has been busy on the set of The Voice Season 11. Since earlier this year, Shelton has been in production with his returning co-star, Adam Levine, and his new co-stars, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. Although Stefani appeared as a coach during the series’ seventh and ninth seasons, she hasn’t appeared in a coaching role since. Instead, she was seen as a mentor and guest performer during Season 10.

While there is certainly a possibility that Stefani will be seen during Season 11, NBC has yet to confirm any such thing and her tour will be keeping her busy until October.

In addition to their career duties, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are rumored to be planning a wedding before the year’s end. As Gwen Stefani remains silent in regard to the reports, rumors are swirling about her upcoming ceremony, which will reportedly include her three sons with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, Kingston, 10; Zuma, 8; and Apollo, 2.

“They want to get married before the end of the year,” a source revealed to Us Weekly earlier this week.

“[Gwen Stefani] has said they both want something more low-key than their first weddings,” the insider said. “It would likely be at Blake’s ranch [in Oklahoma] or in the backyard. Gwen doesn’t really care. She is just in love with Blake and their life together.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating as they filmed The Voice Season 9, and in November 2015, they publicly confirmed their romance during an outing in Nashville, Tennessee, where Shelton had attended the Country Music Awards. A short time later, Shelton appeared to be getting acquainted with Stefani’s life at home with her three boys, and eventually, they traveled with their mom to visit Shelton in his hometown in Oklahoma.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have yet to confirm their plans for a wedding, but when it comes to their relationship, it is quite clear that they are extremely serious. Not only do they spend tons of time with one another in Los Angeles and Oklahoma, but they also appear to be working as a family unit with Stefani’s sons.
