Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Divorce Final? Nick Officially Dating Chilli Of TLC

It’s been a lengthy time since Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon parted ways and announced they were divorcing. The two have been separated since December of 2014, yet the divorce paper work had not been finalized. With Mariah set to marry her billionaire beau James Packer, the world knew the former couple would have to make the divorce final sooner or later. Has that finally happened?

It seems that both Carey and Cannon are moving on fully from one another in their respective romances, while Carey is steadily heading for another wedding, Cannon is reportedly getting close with TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. The former couple filed for divorce after six years of marriage and having twins, Moroccan and Monroe, now five years old. Although in regards to relationship status the divorce seems final, there has been no report that all documents have been signed.

Over the summer months, rumor had it that Nick Cannon was responsible for holding up the divorce proceedings by not signing the papers. However, the America’s Got Talent host denied these claims. The Hollywood Take shared his words.

“I wish it was that easy where you can just sign something and say, ‘Oh, I’m done,’ but it’s a lot of things that go with that that are beyond my control. The only thing that’s important to me is my children. I want what’s best for them. I believe my ex feels the exact same way.”

The 35-year-old is now moving on and his relationship with 45-year-old Chilli is reportedly getting serious. The pair originally sparked dating rumors following collaboration on a music video together. The rumors continued when the duo were seen getting dinner with Chilli’s mom in August. This week they looked happy and cozy in one another’s company when they went on a date at Warwick Nightclub in Los Angeles. A source chatted with Page Six about what was witnessed between Cannon and Chilli while they were on their date.

“Nick and Chilli were all over each other. He was deejaying and any chance they could get they kissed and hugged and were super affectionate. He was so focused on her, it was obvious that they were together. She stood right by his side almost the entire time and he culdn’t take his eyes off of her. They looked super in love and left the venue together around 1:30 a.m. They are defintiely serious and very happy together at the moment!”

Although early on in the summer Cannon denied the rumors about dating Chilli, he now has fessed up, stating “We’ve got an amazing music video together. And the chemistry is undeniable. I’m telling you, it’s real. I’m having fun she’s having fun.”

Last month Nick did admit, however, to still being broken up over his divorce from super diva Mariah, but it appears that he’s finding a way to fill that void. Cannon and Chilli have even been hit with wedding bell questions as of late, but both laughed off the “wedding bells in your future” questions and claimed that at the moment they are just having fun and enjoying one another’s company.

Although the divorce proceedings have been a drawn out process, both Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are adamant that they remain great friends and speak every day. The two also ensure to spend their holidays with their children as a family. Although Cannon was rumored to be behind the stalled wedding between Packer and Carey, Mariah insists that their nuptials have been bumped to next year simply due to her hectic schedule. The diva is still performing in Vegas, finishing her last leg of her world tour and filming her docu-series Mariah’s World.
