Meghan King Edmonds: Did Vicki Gunvalson Set Meghan Up During Her ER Visit?

Meghan King Edmonds has faced a lot of criticism for not visiting Vicki Gunvalson in the hospital when she was taken to the emergency room in Palm Springs after her dune buggy accident. While Heather Dubrow and Kelly Dodd were concerned about Vicki and her well-being, King Edmonds didn’t exactly feel the need to rush to her co-star’s side. She chose to play golf with Shannon Beador instead and stick to her original plans. Even though Meghan and Vicki are not friends, her co-stars and some Real Housewives of Orange County viewers still felt that Meghan should have gone to the emergency room.

According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds is now revealing that she stands by her decision to not visit Vicki in the hospital. King Edmonds puts the question back on viewers, asking them if they would have done the same thing as her with a person who they simply didn’t like being with. Plus, Gunvalson had been very vocal about not wanting to be friends with King Edmonds, so it would be awkward if she showed up at the hospital.

“I’ve been getting a lot of backlash over the last two weeks for not visiting Vicki in the ER and while I do feel bad if I let anyone down, I still stand by my decision to not drive to the hospital. How many of you can honestly say if you were in my shoes, you would drop everything and rush to the ER? If Vicki had been admitted to the hospital, it would have been a completely different situation, but that wasn’t the case,” Meghan King Edmonds revealed in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County.

What fans of the show didn’t see was that Meghan had actually been texting Vicki during her time in the emergency room. King Edmonds got updates from Vicki throughout her time in the hospital and at no time did she say that she needed clothes so she could leave.

Meghan King Edmonds Reveals What Would Have Made Her Visit Vicki In The Hospital

“I was texting her throughout the couple hours she was in the ER to make sure she was alright. If Vicki wanted me there, she would’ve have said so while I was texting her. She didn’t let me know that she needed clothes or a ride home while we were texting either,” Meghan King Edmonds points out.

During Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather and Kelly made it seem like King Edmonds was a bad friend because she didn’t go to the emergency room. It was as if Heather and Kelly blamed King Edmonds for purposefully not going when Vicki needed help. They revealed that their friend had to be cut out of her clothes and had nothing to go home in. She had to take an Uber in her hospital gown to go home, something that King Edmonds didn’t know about until after it happened. Plus, a hospital is not the ideal place for a newly pregnant person to be.

“I was a newly pregnant mother-to-be who should stay clear of hospital germs, I’m the “non-friend” out of all the ladies, I’ve historically been treated badly by Vicki, and I didn’t understand the severity of the situation. Just one of those reasons alone is why it makes perfect sense that I didn’t rush to the ER to be by her side,” Meghan King Edmonds reveals in her blog, sharing that her mother is a nurse and she knows that only immediate family would be able to go visit someone in the emergency room.

What do you think of Meghan King Edmonds’ explanation of the situation? Do you think Vicki set up Meghan by not telling her about her situation, only to have Heather and Kelly attack her after?
