‘Dancing With The Stars’: Maureen McCormick To Dance To ‘The Brady Bunch,’ Ryan Lochte Tasked With ‘The Muppet Show’ On TV Tune Week

While Ryan Lochte was hoping to make a big splash during Dancing with the Stars opening night, he received a lot more attention than he was expecting as protesters rushed to the stage after his performance with pro dancer Cheryl Burke. Now that the security should be beefed up, hopefully, he will be able to focus on the task at hand. While all eyes will most definitely be focused on the duo this next week, Lochte can be comforted knowing that many viewers will be looking elsewhere as well hoping to relive the happy memories as “TV Week” comes to the ballroom.

As expected, Maureen McCormick and her dance partner, Artem Chigvintsev, will be performing the quickstep to The Brady Bunch theme song, reports today’s press release from ABC. Hopefully, DWTS won’t make the 60-year-old actress dress up like teenage Marcia Brady for the stunt, but chances are they will. However, Jake T. Austin may have it worse as he and Jenna Johnson will be dancing the cha cha to Go, Diego, Go!’s theme song as he is known for voicing Dora the Explorer’s brother, Diego, in the Nickelodeon children’s series.

McCormick and Austin will not be the only stars reliving their childhood. Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke have been tasked to dance the quickstep to The Muppet Show theme while Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy will be dancing the jive to the DuckTales’ theme song. The performances should be interesting, to say the least.

The rest of the Dancing with the Stars cast will dance to a variety of TV show tunes.

  • Marilu Henner and Derek Hough will dance the foxtrot to the Taxi theme.
  • Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Allison Holker will dance the Argentine Tango to The X-Files Theme.
  • James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess will dance the Paso Doble to a tribute to The Walking Dead TV show.
  • Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold will dance the foxtrot to the Family Matters theme song.
  • Terra Jole and Sasha Farber will dance the quickstep to Bewitched’s tune.
  • Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko will dance the tango to “I Don’t Want to Be” from One Tree Hill.
  • Rick Perry and Emma Slater will dance the quickstep to the old Green Acres theme song.
  • Vanilla Ice (Rober Van Winkle) and Witney Carson will dance the foxtrot to the song “Love and Marriage” from the Married…with Children TV show.
  • Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will dance the Viennese Waltz to The Game of Thrones theme.
