Bethenny Frankel Reunion: Is Bethenny Ditching ‘RHONY’ After Skipping Out On Group Hug?

Bethenny Frankel has wrapped up yet another season of The Real Housewives of New York, and it sounds like she may be growing tired of the way people are acting on the show.

Frankel has never really held back if she wanted to share her thoughts with her Real Housewives of New York co-stars, and she doesn’t like it when her co-stars are lying or being fake to protect other people’s feelings. Frankel faced backlash after opening up to Luann de Lesseps about Thomas D’Agostino’s cheating, even though it was hard for her. She was so upset about how things turned out that she may regret even bringing it up with Luann in the first place.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel told Luann that her backlash from the cheating may have ruined their friendship. Rather than own the fact that her future husband may not be a loyal person, she decided to call out Bethenny Frankel for her own relationship. Bethenny, who is now divorced, has been dating Dennis Shields, a man who is legally separated from his wife.

When Frankel heard the accusations from Luann, she realized that de Lesseps would say and do just about anything to make herself feel better, even if the story about Bethenny’s new relationship is false. Frankel ended up calling her boyfriend’s daughter to get her to set the record straight. At the end of the reunion, the ladies got up to do a group hug, but Frankel remained on the couch.

“I don’t double kiss & I don’t fake hug,” Bethenny tweeted as viewers noticed that she didn’t get up to join the ladies in the group hug, adding, “Thankfully, I had strep so it wasn’t an option anyway.”

It’s no secret that Frankel doesn’t like to be fake, and she can’t fake it if she did hug them all without wanting to. She remains friends with Carole Radziwill and Ramona Singer, but she didn’t have an interest in hugging her remaining co-stars.

“You are real and to hug the rest of them would have been as fake as all of them, strep or not. Thank you for staying real and true,” one person wrote to Bethenny Frankel, sharing that she appreciated Frankel sticking to her guns, to which she replied, “Truth. I wouldn’t have anyway #NoFakeHugs.”

“Group hugs are weird and awkward. You were great on the reunion, are a real friend and throw amazing fiestas!” one person wrote to Bethenny, who replied, “Now that you mention it I don’t do group hugs anyway.”

Bethenny Frankel’s decision to sit on the couch during the group hug may have been a sign that she’s done with the show. Rumors have been swirling for months that Frankel doesn’t want to film the show anymore.

“I felt disgusting. I felt drained,” Frankel revealed to Andy Cohen about a month ago, according to Bravo, sharing that she was exhausted after the reunion, as she also had strep throat.
