‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ News: Heather Tom Attacked On Twitter, Defends Herself
Soap stars are used to dealing with a bit of drama now and then. Heather Tom was actually attacked on Twitter this week and she isn’t afraid to speak out and tell them her thoughts. Soap Opera Digest shared about what went down with Heather Tom and how crazy things got for her over the past few days. Heather Tom plays Katie on the soap The Bold and the Beautiful.
It all started when the Twitter handle @BandB_Polls posted about a poll they took. It said that Katie was voted as the soap’s least likable female. Of course, Heather Tom couldn’t just let this comment go and had to speak out. Heather went to Twitter and said, “Ahhkmm…. 42 percent is not a majority… #pollssuck just ask Hillary and Donald!” She then added, “oops! My bad 48% -still, last time I checked, not a majority-I know, math is hard… ” So yes, it was a majority vote, but of course, Heather Tom wasn’t happy about the results of the poll.

After that, B and B Polls couldn’t just let it go and had to respond to Heather. They said, “no other actor complained about a poll result. Probably because they are adults.” Wow, this didn’t go over well at all with the fans of Tom. A lot of people started speaking out and of course, defending her against the comment. Of course, a few people didn’t have nice things to say. After that, Heather Tom went on to defend herself even more. Here is what she had to say.
“what I will say is I LOVE 100% of YOU!!! … Ur hate 4 my character really hurts me-I get that U don’t like Katie-that’s fine ur entitled to ur opinion, but ur comments are so personal … why would you want me to lose my job? That’s how I support my son-do U just want me 2 feel bad?”
It obviously really upset her, and you could tell Heather Tom was mad when she made that post. After she thought about it for a bit and calmed down, Heather posted something else.
“Sorry for the sob show-feeling a little emotional this morning-just don’t know why things have 2 B so mean spirited-makes me not want 2post … People should remember that we read these things and I for one take my work really personally- you don’t have to like it but #wordsCanHurt … actually that’s what’s funny-I’ve NEVER had a bad experience w/my fans-always so positive! … maybe it’s not so easy 2 say hurtful things to someone’s face.”
Then Heather Tom read even more great comments and said, “Ok now I’m sitting here bawling because of all the sweet things you all are saying-thank you! It’s really made me feel better! #wordsCanHeal.” Heather Tom has a huge fanbase after her time on One Life to Live and The Bold and the Beautiful. She already shared with her fans that she will be back for another season, so if you don’t like her, then you better find a way to get used to seeing Heather Tom on the show.

After all of this, Heather also went to Twitter saying she was crying into her wine. It sounds like she is handling this all fine, though. It was great for Heather Tom to see that someone had her back. This is important to her, and some of the fans obviously love her.
